Hello Everyone: I had a full weekend traveling a 10 hour trip to Houghton MI for our daughter's graduation from Michigan Tech University. We had a great trip with great weather - thanks be to God! A little mud from the melting snow but the warm sun and almost 70 degrees were greatly appreciated! We went to St. Anne in Baraga and the homily was for Christ the Good Shepherd and he made it clear that priests and all the faithful are only successful if they pray and when a priest says he wants to leave the priesthood - it is usually because he has been negligent in prayer. This goes for us as well. We die spiritually if we do not pray. It is our spiritual food. God be praised for His Goodness in the gifts He gives us for all things. My Dad is still at home with some caregivers coming each day and he has had a few minor set backs but we are praying that he can continue to live at home. Thanks for your prayers. We are getting into the warm weather and we begin to get "busy" with so many things that we seem to put prayer on a back burner. Father Hardon was not a promoter of vacations - He said that we come back lazier and we usually do not have "time" to pray during our recreations. He recommended retreats. We pray and come back refreshed to go back to life with a greater fervor. I have below a talk on the Power of Prayer and its importance in our day. It is so easy to get "SO BUSY" that we do not make it a priority. Satan is trying to deceive ALL OF US! We must be diligent in our prayer life. We always find time to eat - we must always find time to pray. This talk is very helpful. I also included a link to my information on the Power of the Rosary. May we remember that this is the month of May and ask our dear Blessed Mother for help in prayer and growing closer to God. God bless all and may Our Dear Blessed Mother watch over us and guide us closer to Her Son Jesus!! Prayer is the most important thing we can do with our lives - let us remember that and find time!

Hello Everyone: I hope all is well with all of you. Thanks for the prayers for my Dad - he is back home. He has in-home care and a mobile device. We hope he can stay at home. This has been very trying and now we must trust and pray to make the right decisions for him - going forward. I will be leaving to travel to attend my youngest daughter's Graduation at Michigan Tech University this weekend. They still have snow! At this point I don't care - I need a get away! I read the posted article below and thought I would share this - I have been praying for our Bishops and Catholic scholars to take a stand against the trouble that has been brewing in the Church FOR A LONG TIME and we have only seen little sparks of hope. Let us pray that the following effort will succeed and that the MEN in this Church will take ownership of being the leaders. Please pray for this and continue to offer reparation for the damage that has been happening. God bless all of you and may Our Lady Queen of us all - pray for us! |
