![]() Hello Everyone: We have heard so much sad news and are so saddened with the loss of our public Masses and so much loss of life and freedoms that a talk on the virtue of Hope is so needed today. We can not lose hope and we must be faithful Catholics and seek divine grace to accomplish our salvation. We are made above all to live with God, to live as children of God and what counts is the love we have for God. How are we spending our few years which God has given to us with regard to the goals of Heaven? How have we passed on to our children this hope of Heaven, these eternal realities? That is what God is going to ask us on the day we stand before Him. No matter what we endure in this life and no matter how many difficulties, it is the hope of Heaven that holds us, the hope of belonging totally to God, being totally with God for eternity. This thought should continually be our hope. Therefore, this should unceasingly give joy to our souls with an ardent desire of the promised rewards of eternal life, so that whatever we have to endure, we may have a more willing and cheerful obedience to all that God wills or allows in our lives The virtue of hope is extinguishing today because modern man has a tendency to place all of his hope in this world. Right now the focus is on social progress, social justice, material progress, the distribution of the goods of this world, but that is not what we were made for. The world is dying in the here and now. Humanity no longer knows where it is going, what it is doing or even what it is thinking. Men thirst for the goods of this world, therefore they do not think about God anymore or about spiritual goods or about eternal life. To have the virtue of hope is to hope for the things of the eternal world. Hope is the virtue of one who is on the road, of one who is thinking of the goal toward which he is heading. When someone travels somewhere, his only idea while on the trip is to reach his destination. If you ask someone where he is heading, it goes without saying that he will answer you with a true plan. It is surprising to see that people do not think about, do not reflect on, do not meditate sufficiently on the goal to which they are heading. “Here we have no permanent city, but we seek for the City that is to come.” (Heb. 13:14) We know how long we have spent on this earth, but we do not know how much time we have yet to be here. So we have to think of Heaven and all those who dwell there. They are waiting for us. God is waiting for us, our parents are waiting for us, the elect of Heaven are waiting for us. Hope makes us desire to be united with our Lord Jesus Christ for ALL eternity. If we lived more fully in hope, we would never fear death. Many do fear death and are terrified at the thought of it, but if we were aware that it is a deliverance from this exile and that our souls are going toward that for which we were created, toward our eternal happiness --- we would walk in joy. If we have hope, death does not frighten us. On the contrary, we desire it as St. Paul did; he said, ”I am desiring to depart and be with Christ.”(Phil. 1:23) It would be wise if we make firm resolutions to avoid all sin, in order to keep supernatural life, the life of grace, the life of our Lord Jesus Christ in our souls, and to reach Heaven – our true Home. Our Lady of Hope, pray for us! PS - Posted are the prayers for a Novena to Our Lady under "Total Consecration to Jesus through Mary" under Formation. God bless!!

![]() Hello Everyone: This is an exciting but trying time to be living in! There is so much going on despite everyone stuffed in their homes. This plandemic is a Communist takeover - no doubt about it! We have unbelievable unemployment, food shortages that will escalate by the month, police state activities from state to state, and most importantly A LOSS OF OUR CHURCHES AND SACRAMENTS!!! All for a virus that kills comparable to the flu - (they are counting ALL deaths as COVID - fake numbers). We will be a new nation and a New World - when this is close to being over. This is a known airborne virus and therefore almost impossible to mitigate. Good masks might be helpful but a strong immune system even better. I truly believe that the cure is going to be worse than the disease. We just need to protect the vulnerable and go back to living as we have been - or we will pay a HUGE price. I pray our President sees this. We are playing into the hands of the globalists for a New World Order to emerge. There is proof of this from what is coming out of the United Nations - just search for it. Well - it looks like I am not talking about my topic but all this leads me into it. We do need to keep the faith! We do need to pray for our Bishops who seem to be sleeping and not fulfilling their most important duty and that is the salvation of souls. What can we as laymen do??? We can beg Our Lady's intercession. Today there is going to be a rededication of our country to Our Lady Mother of the Church and this will coincide with the rededication of Canada as well. May we pray and fast today and offer up as many rosaries as you can fit in our day! Also, during these days of a plandemic - we know of many deaths - those caused by the virus, those hastened by "care-givers" for the vulnerable, those who have taken their lives or are about to, those just by natural causes. With MOST of these deaths - there will be NO PRIEST - NO SACRAMENTS - NO FAMILY at their side. THIS IS WORSE THAN TRAGIC AND THE ENEMY KNOWS THIS! What can we do?? Again, the power of prayer is very very powerful. We must have faith and believe that NOW MORE THAN EVER! Here is something I just read and will share with all of you....... . "If every night, before we went to sleep," says Father Frederick Faber, "we begged our dear Lady to offer up to God the Precious Blood of her Divine Son for grace to hinder one mortal sin somewhere in the world, during that night, and then renewed the same offering in the morning of the hours of daylight, surely such an offering, and by such hands, could not fail to win the grace desired, and then each one of us might hinder numbers of mortal sins every year." Today is the Feast of St. Joseph the Worker but he is also the patron the dying. May we pray this prayer and beg the Hearts of Jesus and Mary and good St. Joseph to be with the souls that are left all alone during these horrible days in history. A PRAYER FOR THE DYING AND A SPECIAL SOUL . O MOST MERCIFUL JESUS, lover of souls, I beseech Thee, Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, that through the sorrows of Thine Immaculate Mother and the holiness of St. Joseph, please wash clean in Thy Blood the sinners of the whole world who can not receive the Last Sacrament and are going to die this day. Remember most especially the soul I spiritually adopt with the intention of entrusting him or her to Thy Shepherd's care: I beseech Thee for the grace to move this sinner, who may be in danger of going to Hell, to repent. I ask this because of my trust in Thy great mercy. If it should please Thy Majesty to send me a suffering this day in exchange for the grace I ask for this soul, then, it, too, shall please me very much, and I thank Thee, Most Sweet Jesus, Shepherd and Lover of Souls; I thank Thee for this opportunity to offer this mercy in thanksgiving for all the mercies Thou hast shown me. Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on the dying. Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for poor sinners. Sweet St. Joseph, pray for the dying souls that they may repent and turn to Jesus before their death. (1 Our Father, 1 Hail Mary, 1 Glory Be) |
