Consider Intense Prayers For Priests and Bishops Who Sadden The Sacred Heart - Ask Our Lady to Help You Become a Victim Soul For the Church

Greetings in Jesus and Mary...

We are at day 3 of the Novena to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus! May we pray, fast, offer sacrifices and do acts of Love in union with the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary ... all done in reparation to the Heart of Jesus for the sacrileges, indifferences and contempts that He feels daily!

The Traditional Latin Mass is UNDER ATTACK! We are seeing this attack everywhere and the bishops are now making attacks even on the reverences shown during a Novus Ordo Mass for Jesus truly present in the Most Holy Eucharist. How very sad for the Hearts of Jesus and Mary.  Are we not moved to offer reparation??

In order for us to understand the connection of the Mass, Our Lord's Passion and His priest; let us examine the works of St. Thomas Aquinas, who is reported to have said that his greatest knowledge was gained in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament. He was commissioned to write the Office and the Mass for the Feast of Corpus Christi which celebrates all three.

The opening Psalm in the Introit of the Corpus Christi Mass recalls to us the connection of this Sacrament with the redeptive work of the Passion of our Lord Jesus Christ: "O God, Who in this wonderful sacrament has left us a memorial of Thy passion; grant us, we beseech Thee, so to reverence the sacred mysteries of Thy Body and Blood, that we may ever feel within us the fruit of Thy Redemption." The Epistle, which is taken from St. Paul's words to the Corinthians, recalls the institution of the Holy Eucharist at the Last Supper and again stresses its relation to the Passion: "For as often as you shall eat this bread, and drink this chalice, you shall show the death of the Lord until He comes."

The Gospel chosen contains Our Lord's words to the multitudes after the miracle of the multiplication of the loaves and fishes. There is the promise of a bread much greater than that with which the people have just been miraculously fed, much more lasting than the manna of the desert, because it is the BREAD OF ETERNAL LIFE, HIS OWN BODY AND BLOOD THAT HE WILL ONE DAY GIVE THEM.

Before we can pray for priests/bishops; we must understand the greatness of the Mass. The Mass exists because our Lord told us to do what He had done, in memory of Him. Jesus is the essence of purity, substantial sanctity, the immaculate one, the only Begotten of the Father. In like mannner, if the priest is to be worthy of his Eucharistic mission and of his vocation as host, he also must be pure, holy and immaculate.

Each morning when the priest ascends the altar, Jesus the Eternal Priest, contemplates him as His host, as the pure, holy and immaculate host which he is about to consecrate. The priest, also, entering into the spirit of his vocation, should consider himself a "living host" which will be offered, consecrated, immolated and received in communion by the Father and by souls in "Persona Christi".

But few are the priests who draw near to the altar with these dispositions - very few who become pure, holy and immaculate hosts. How many approach the altar tainted with sin, if not impure! How many have lost that candor of soul which make them in truth: "Lambs of God". Jesus knows this and tolerates these Judases, who by the words of Consecration make Him descend from Heaven to the consecrated host which remains pure in spite of their impure hands, but stains even more their impure hearts. This saddens the Heart of Jesus and makes Him desire ardently that each priest live the life of a host after His own example: to receive worthily the words of Consecration.

Truly, no one more than the priest ought to live the Eucharistic doctrine. Jesus desires that they more than ANYONE else tend towards the Eucharistic transformation which is unique and proper to the priesthood. There are many tepid and indifferent priests, however, who do not possess the interior life, are not conscious of their sacerdotal dignity and therefore are incapable of understanding the intimacies of the Eucharistic life, much less live it.

This article is a plea to all those who take the Carmelite spirituality seriously. We need victim souls for priests/bishops - TODAY NOW MORE THAN EVER! In order to have a heart to do this for Jesus, we must beg Our Blessed Mother to give us the necessary graces....we need to understand the Mass....we need to understand who a priest is....we need to love them with Her Heart! What is a priest in the eyes of Jesus and Mary and how can we be moved to pray for them....what should we ask for them?

We must ask Our Lady, as Lay Carmelites, to pray and suffer for the Church as St. Teresa of Avila asked her sisters to do. Also, as Our Lady had asked of us at Fatima. We are to ask for the graces of the gift of transforming all our martyrdoms, all our battles with demons, all our temptations against virtues, all the icy winds that freeze our spirit, all our paralysis and powerlessness to perform good deeds, all our pains, all our illnesses....all the rejections felt by those around us. In each particular instance, we will offer the pain, struggles and agony with this prayer...."Jesus, all for your priests through the intercession of the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary".  May we start with this life offering and add Masses, Holy Hours, novenas, prayers, invocations, and rosaries....ALL FOR PRIESTS! Adding whatever we can to our day without neglecting our duty.

Let us pray to love these priests/bishops with the Heart of Mary. She will give us this love so that we can give all with Her love. If we do this with Her Heart....God will see it as Her offering and all of us as Her subjects to Our Queen! How this will gain greater merit and efficacy! What a glorious vocation....what a Carmelite vocation! St. Therese would agree!

Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament and of Priests, pray for us!
St. Teresa of Jesus, pray for us!
St. Therese of the Child Jesus and Of The Holy Face, pray for us!
Saints, Lucia, Jacinta and Francisco, pray for us!
