Greetings in Jesus and Mary...

A day to honor life! Mother's bring life into the world and nourish it. A great day to honor Our Blessed Mother who has given us Jesus and continues to nourish us with graces until we are finally in Heaven. May we thank the Eternal Father for giving us so good a Mother!

I am going to share some passages from the book, "Fatima or World Suicide" since we are in this Novena to Our Lady of Fatima to demonstrate the love Mary gives through Her intercession.....

The author of the book states....."At one o'clock in the morning on May 13, I saw a young man of nineteen approach my confessional. "Father,' was his astonishing request, "I want you to hear my confession, give me Holy Communion, and baptize me. " I spoke some words of encouragement to him, and made an appointment with him for a later hour. "I came here to see what it was like,' he explained, "but perceiving the faith and fervor of the pilgrims, I have felt something within me which urges me to become a Christian like them!"

On another occasion, the Bishop of Leiria was imparting the Eucharistic Blessing to the sick when a distinguished looking gentleman was seen kneeling among the sufferers, as if he wanted to receive that Benediction. He was told it was exclusively meant for the sick. "I know that well," he replied, "but alas! I am sick of soul." Greatly touched, his Excellency stopped, raised up the Monstrance, and made over the kneeling figure a great Sign of the Cross. A sick soul had found the way to healing!"

Mary is such an attentive Mother to Her children. She is always there to hear our needs; but we need to be attentive to Her as well. Fatima is the call of God's Mother for a renewal of fidelity to prayer and penance. Pray the Rosary. Pray the Rosary is what Our Lady of the Rosary asks. This was the Blessed Mother's repeated request not only to the children of Fatima but wherever She visits. We are called to bear the sufferings God wants to send to us in reparation for sin and for the conversion of poor sinners. Are you a parent of one or more children who have strayed away from the Faith? We can be sorrowful with Our Blessed Mother and beg Her to intercede for us to obtain conversions like the ones stated above. Devotion to Mary and the Rosary have often turned the tide when defeat and destruction of Christendom seemed absolutely inevitable. She is the one appointed by God to crush the head of the serpent. We must go to Her in confidence but at the same time unite our sorrows with the Sorrows of Mary as She has witnessed countless souls being lost over many centuries.....

"Pray, pray very much and make sacrifices for sinners, for many souls go to Hell because there is no one to make sacrifices for them." (Our Lady of Fatima to the children)

May we obey Our Blessed Mother's words and pray and make sacrifices for our children who have lost their way.

Blessed Mother's Day to all of you self-sacrificing mothers!

Thank you Eternal Father for so good a Mother!  We love Her!

Prayers to Our Mother
