The Traditional Latin Mass
Why should we search to participate in the Traditional Latin Mass? The first reason is that it is part of living the Old Rule of Carmel. It is the Mass of the Carmelite Saints! One needs to study it in order to see its richness and beauty. Where to begin? There is an amazing book of explanation written for Catholic High School students way back in the day! It is called, "The Mass", and is written by a Rev. Joseph Dunney.
THE NEW MASS
The designers of the New Mass have boasted endlessly on the novelty and revolutionary nature of their creation, and you can find many examples. I will only site one: Fr. Joseph Gelineau, SJ, one of the Catholic experts involved in its formulation, stated: “This needs to be said without ambiguity: the Roman Rite as we knew it no longer exists. It has been destroyed." (1)
The critics have said essentially the same thing. Again, I will just cite one. Cardinal Alfredo Ottaviani, who served as head of the Holy Office under three Popes, wrote that "the Novus Ordo Missae .... represents a striking departure from the Catholic theology of the Holy Mass as it was formulated in the Council of Trent,” and that there are “implicit denials of Christ’s Real Presence and the doctrine of Transubstantiation.” (2)
Based on these testimonies, as well as on the fact that the religious authorities have imposed that this New Mass be said everywhere, is it any wonder that so many Catholics today do not believe in the Real Presence?

FATIMA MESSAGE AND THE MASS
Once you spend time studying the differences of these Masses, you will see why the messages of Fatima centrally ask for Eucharistic Reparation. If we are called to give this reparation, we should do everything we can to seek the Highest Form of Worship in the Tridentine Mass.
It very well may be what was contained in the Third Secret that was suppose to be revealed in 1960 and was not. There is speculation that mention of a great falling away - a great loss of Faith may be contained in this Third Secret. We know enough from observation that there indeed has been a tremendous loss of Faith, loss of vocations to the priesthood and religious life and a great loss of love for Tradition that should lead those who wish to live in imitation of Our Lady to a greater love of Jesus truly present in the Eucharist and a greater sense of urgency for Reparation done before the Blessed Sacrament in the way of the Fatima Reparation Prayers!
