Mary - Queen and Mother of Us All
We have just celebrated the Feast of the Holy Family this past Sunday. Mary is not only the Mother of Jesus Christ; but She is also the Mother of the Mystical Body of Christ. Therefore, She is the Mother of all of us. This is so beautiful and such a gift from the Father, Who knows we need Her.
Mary is the Dispenser of all Graces. This is a doctrine of the Catholic Church that is well disputed among Catholics and Protestants alike (which is why I call Her the Best Kept Secret in the Catholic Church). This article is to help us understand this and to turn to Her in time of need, especially as the family unit is so much under attack today. Below is a little explanation of why God has appointed Her so.
From the writings of the incorrupt Pope St. Pius X, we find the following:
"For is not Mary the Mother of Christ? Then She is our Mother also. And we must in truth hold that Christ, the Word made Flesh, is also the Savior of mankind. He had a physical body like that of any other man; and again as Savior of the human family, He had a spiritual and mystical body, the society, namely, of those who believe in Christ. "We are many, but one sole body in Christ" (Rom. 12:5). Now the Blessed Virgin did not conceive the Eternal Son of God merely in order that He might be made man taking His human nature from Her, but also in order that by means of the nature assumed from Her He might be the Redeemer of men - for which reason the Angel said to the Shepherds: "Today there is born to you a Savior who is Christ the Lord." (Luke 2:11). Wherefore in the same holy bosom of His most chaste Mother, Christ took to Himself flesh, and united to Himself the spiritual body formed by those who were to believe in Him. Hence Mary, carrying the Savior within Her, may be said to have also carried all those whose life was contained in the life of the Savior. Therefore, all we who are united in Christ, and as the Apostle says are members of His Body, of His flesh, and of His bones (Eph 5:30). have issued from the womb of Mary like a body united to its head. Hence, though in a spiritual and mystical fashion, we are all children of Mary, and She is the Mother of us all. Mother, spiritually indeed, but truly Mother of the members of Christ, who are we (S. ug. L. de S. Virginitate, c. 6)
If then the most Blessed Virgin is the Mother at once of God and men, who can doubt that She will work with all diligence to procure that Christ, Head of the Body of the Church (Col 1:18) may transfuse His gifts into us, His members, and above all that of knowing Him and living through Him. (1 Jn 4:9) (Encyclical "Ad Diem Illum)?
Our conclusion is --- Mary will supply us with everything we need to combat all the forces of Hell that are attacking our family - no matter what it is. God wishes it so! God chose Her to bring Jesus to us physically and spiritually! If it is infidelity, pornography, lack of obedience in our children, loss of faith in our children, healing from past sins, addictions, etc etc. -our Lady is in possession of the key to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and can give us the graces to combat against all of these and so much more! She will supply you with what you need from His Most Sacred Heart - BUT we must ask Her in Prayer! This is crucial. We must come to Her daily and make a consecration of all that we are and do to Jesus through Mary. She will lead us to Her Son and Our Lord - Jesus Christ.
I ask you - Why would anyone want to refuse Our Lady's help? Why would anyone want to keep others from Her help? There is only one answer - The devil hates Her!
Mary = Humility and Satan = Pride. Therefore, beware of the wolves that keep us from Her and instead we must go to Her, fly to Her and always remember that we can never love Her too much. I ask you - are we to live in imitation of Jesus? Can we love Her more that He does? Therefore, love Her freely - this is pleasing to Jesus and definitely not to Satan.
Remain with Our Queen and Mother and you will not go wrong - it will keep Satan far from deceiving you. Always remember that She never acts on Her own. We can use the analogy of a stay at home mother who does so much for her family. She could never do any of it if her husband did not work and supply the means to serve the family. In a very similar way, She is an instrument that is in constant union with God's Holy Will - Always. All is received from God through Her. Nothing originates from Her. All graces and glory come from God and go back to God. She gives all glory to God and wants us to do the same. God be praised for His goodness in giving us this loving, attentive Mother and God bless you in your efforts to draw closer to Her!
