Hello Everyone:
There is a very important devotion that is becoming more known today because of the messages contained in it. I do not have to rewrite the information for you. It is contained on the website - Tradition in Action. Dr. Marian Horvat is the expert on this devotion and it is advised to buy the books from their bookstore related to this devotion as well. I have posted their short version of the Novena under "Talks". Please refer to it and try to do this Novena for the needs of the world today - especially to stop abortion so that there will be peace. Please click into the following link to learn more and God bless your day!

Hello Everyone: Please read the talk posted under "Talks". It is about how to obtain peace. This little addition will be for that talk - we must remember Our Lady when talking about peace. The talk did talk about how without Her - we would not have Jesus truly present in the Blessed Sacrament! We thank God and we thank Our Lady for all that She does for us! We must remember that She constantly pleads with us to pray the Rosary. At Fatima, She asked the children each time She came to pray the Rosary for peace. The First World War was going on and She said that it would end - BUT - if people continued to offend God and NOT pray the Rosary - that there would be a World War II. It is hard to believe that it happened - how embarrassing! With all the talk of North Korea, combined with the messages of Our Lady of Fatima and Our Lady of Akita which were both approved; we can only assume that another chastisement will happen shortly. Our Lady of Fatima said, "Wars are allowed by God as a punishment for sin." This needs reflecting upon. God does not "will" war - He "allows" war. God is a just God. It is very very sad that all of these wars could have been averted. At Akita Japan, Our Lady appeared to a Sister Sasagawa and said the following: "As I said before if mankind does not repent, the Heavenly Father will inflict a very serious punishment on the whole world; a punishment the likes of which has never happened before. Many people will perish. Pray the Rosary often. Only I can prevent the disaster. Whoever entrusts themselves to me will be saved." Some may not understand Our Lady when She says that "Only I can prevent such a disaster." St. Louis deMontfort states that Mary is in perfect union with God. She never acts by Herself. She has been given this privilege by God to pray for us miserable, ungrateful creatures. Poor Mother! I can not imagine her grief. I have six children - She has all of us. The pain that my own children bring to my heart at their lack of obedience to the advice of a loving mother or to God's Word is very very painful. You want all to listen so that all may be happy in Heaven and please the Good God! If you are unfamiliar with Akita - please click the above link.
May we listen to Our Mother and pray the Rosary for peace and most of all consecrate your children by name, your families, your spouse and promote this devotion to more so we will be under the mantle of Our Queen and Mother. Also, please read the stories on this website under Devotions for the Rosary. They are inspiring and true! The Akita Prayer Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, truly present in the Holy Eucharist, I consecrate my body and soul to be entirely one with Thy Heart, being sacrificed at every instant on all the altars of the world and giving praise to the Father pleading for the coming of his Kingdom. Please receive this humble offering of myself. Use me as Thou wilt for the glory of the Father and salvation of souls. Most Holy Mother of God, never let me be separated from Thine Divine Son. Please defend and protect me as Thy special child. Amen. Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary - pray for us now and at the hour of our death! Hello Everyone:
We have just celebrated the Feast of the Holy Family this past Sunday, January 7th. Since this blog is about Our Lady and Her relationship to us, it is appropriate to talk about Her Motherhood. She is not only the Mother of the Family of Nazareth which all Christian mothers ought to strive to resemble; but She is also the Mother of the Mystical Body of Christ. Therefore, She is the Mother of all of us. This is so beautiful and such a gift from the Father, Who knows we need Her. Mary is the Dispenser of all Graces. This is a doctrine of the Catholic Church that is well disputed among Catholics and Protestants alike (which is why I call Her the Best Kept Secret in the Catholic Church). This article is to help us understand this and to turn to Her in time of need, especially as the family unit is so much under attack today. Below is a little explanation of why God has appointed Her so. From the writings of the incorrupt Pope St. Pius X, we find the following: "For is not Mary the Mother of Christ? Then She is our Mother also. And we must in truth hold that Christ, the Word made Flesh, is also the Savior of mankind. He had a physical body like that of any other man; and again as Savior of the human family, He had a spiritual and mystical body, the society, namely, of those who believe in Christ. "We are many, but one sole body in Christ" (Rom. 12:5). Now the Blessed Virgin did not conceive the Eternal Son of God merely in order that He might be made man taking His human nature from Her, but also in order that by means of the nature assumed from Her He might be the Redeemer of men - for which reason the Angel said to the Shepherds: "Today there is born to you a Savior who is Christ the Lord." (Luke 2:11). Wherefore in the same holy bosom of His most chaste Mother, Christ took to Himself flesh, and united to Himself the spiritual body formed by those who were to believe in Him. Hence Mary, carrying the Savior within Her, may be said to have also carried all those whose life was contained in the life of the Savior. Therefore, all we who are united in Christ, and as the Apostle says are members of His Body, of His flesh, and of His bones (Eph 5:30). have issued from the womb of Mary like a body united to its head. Hence, though in a spiritual and mystical fashion, we are all children of Mary, and She is the Mother of us all. Mother, spiritually indeed, but truly Mother of the members of Christ, who are we (S. ug. L. de S. Virginitate, c. 6) If then the most Blessed Virgin is the Mother at once of God and men, who can doubt that She will work with all diligence to procure that Christ, Head of the Body of the Church (Col 1:18) may transfuse His gifts into us, His members, and above all that of knowing Him and living through Him. (1 Jn 4:9) (Encyclical "Ad Diem Illum)? Our conclusion is --- Mary will supply us with everything we need to combat all the forces of Hell that are attacking our family - no matter what it is. God wishes it so! God chose Her to bring Jesus to us physically and spiritually! If it is infidelity, pornography, lack of obedience in our children, loss of faith in our children, healing from past sins, addictions, etc etc. -our Lady is in possession of the key to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and can give us the graces to combat against all of these and so much more!. She will supply you with what you need from His Most Sacred Heart - BUT we must ask Her in Prayer! This is crucial. We must come to Her daily and make a consecration of all that we are and do to Jesus through Mary. She will lead us to Her Son and Our Lord - Jesus Christ. I ask you - Why would anyone want to refuse this help? Why would anyone want to keep others from this help? There is only one answer - The devil hates Her! Mary = Humility and Satan = Pride. Therefore, beware of the wolves that keep us from Her and instead we must go to Her, fly to Her and always remember that we can never love Her too much. I ask you - are we to live in imitation of Jesus? Can we love Her more that He does? Therefore, love Her freely - this is pleasing to Jesus and definitely not to Satan. Remain with Our Queen and Mother and you will not go wrong - it will keep Satan far from deceiving you. Always remember that She never acts on Her own. We can use the analogy of a stay at home mother who does so much for her family. She could never do any of it if her husband did not work and supply the means to serve the family. In a very similar way, She is an instrument that is in constant union with God's Holy Will - Always. All is received from God through Her. Nothing originates from Her. All graces and glory come from God and go back to God. She gives all glory to God and wants us to do the same. God be praised for His goodness in giving us this loving, attentive Mother and God bless you in your efforts to draw closer to Her! Hello Everyone:
This Saturday is the Feast of the Epiphany, January 6th. For those of us who have been living the Old Carmelite Rule as prescribed on this website and who have made a Promise to try with all sincerity to live it, can renew that Promise this Saturday. It is written in the Old Rule that our Promise is to be renewed on the Feast of the Epiphany and on the Feast of the Exaltation of the Cross. It is our gift to Jesus and Mary on the day of gift giving by the Magi. We are laypersons and at times can not fulfill all the duties of this Rule because of circumstances that may arise in our day. Our duty in our vocation comes first but we must try to make up for what is lacking. This is also a great time to reflect on how I may better live this Rule. If the morning or evening office is difficult - try to place a copy in an easily accessible place in order to make that happen. I am going to try to put an audio of Our Little Office of the Blessed Virgin Mary on this site so that those with phones can listen to it as they drive or work. I wish we had more time to be contemplatives but this crazy world makes it difficult. We must make time for God. Another thing that we may be lacking in is our Fatima Reparation Prayers. Place a laminated copy by the bathroom mirror or a reminder in your car so that we get into the habit of saying these ejaculatory prayers throughout our day. Give God your first fruits of the day. Have a crucifix on your nightstand so that you can pray the Holy Wounds prayer and your consecration prayer as you pop out of bed in the morning. If we can not get to Holy Mass, we should have a memorized Spiritual Communion prayer that we can pray in order to invite Jesus into our souls in an intimate way. Please take time during the beginning days of this new year to review our booklet of Rules and pray to Our Lady to serve Jesus through Her in a very beautiful way this coming new year! God bless! |
