Restoring the Kingship of Christ

 
Hello Everyone:

We are in the Christmas Octave still and with Christmas comes the message of Jesus coming to reign in the hearts of all men through His gift of Himself in the Holy Eucharist and in His death on the cross. As we see so much evil unfolding before our eyes, we cannot help but understand that it is because Christ does not reign in the hearts of men. St. Louis de Montfort stated – “God is not loved, because He is not known. Implore Jesus, in union with Mary, that through His Mother, His Kingdom may come on earth.”
 
I was just reading a little book of Padre Pio and how he offered the Mass. How beautiful is the Mass and as so many are realizing – we not only need to put Christ back into Christmas – we also need to put the Mass. Jesus was placed in a manger – an eating trough in the city of Bethlehem which means House of Bread. He came down to earth to be our food – our nourishment during these times.  We need to take advantage of the great opportunity the Mass has to offer us and as many of the saints have said – we will not know the wealth contained even in one Mass until we are in the next life. 
 
Let us turn to the saints who have written so beautifully on this subject. There are so many to help us understand the greatness of the Mass.

Let us turn to Mary, Our Mother, and ask Her to teach us the great love of the Mass and to lead us to Her Son that He may reign on the throne of our hearts this coming new year.
 
“Why, O most beloved Jesus, are You not better known, loved and adored? Alas, whole nations are still living in darkness and in the shadow of death. O God, Your Kingdom come! Elect more apostles, O Lord! Inflame them with words which will soften the hardest hearts! Send them forth into the whole world to call all nations to the knowledge of truth! O Jesus, Your Father has given You the nations of the earth for Your inheritance, and You have purchased the entire Kingdom by Your Blood. O, I pray and entreat You, through Mary and with Mary, may Your Kingdom come to all!
But how is Your name honored and hallowed, O Lord, by those who know You? Alas, I see Your holy Name despised and blasphemed. When will this outrage cease? When will Your mercy speak to all hearts?

O Divine Savior, I implore You, in union with all the saints, send forth that consuming fire which is to enkindle all hearts. And as Your Kingdom is to be extended and restored especially through Mary, give to Your children a deeper knowledge of Your Mother. O Lord, when will the time arrive, when the august Mary will be Queen of all hearts, in order to subject them wholly to Your dominion? When will the age dawn wherein souls, losing themselves in Mary, will become living portraits of this beloved Mistress, in order to honor and love You perfectly, O my Jesus?
 
Lord Jesus, You who can do all things, do not refuse me this petition: I beseech You, let the Kingdom of Mary come in order that Your Kingdom may come! Grant that henceforth Your Mother may be better known more honored and loved that She may lead us to You.”
