Greetings in Jesus and Mary... The Feast of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus is a feast day of LOVE! His Heart contains EVERYTHING the world needs to be pleasing to God and do His Most Holy Will! As stated in years past for this feast day...... I have mentioned that the world is a mess....AND....it could have been avoided! When we have true humility to accept God - we love Him, we obey Him and we are in union with God. But because we have pride, we have a world that has grown so cold. The devil has deceived us and we have thrown away opportunities of love. We surely do not know the intensity of the Love of God. It is a mystery. When the saints meditated upon it - they came to the conclusion that God loves us to folly. Meaning that we do not deserve it. We squander His love, we reject Him, we despise Him, we ridicule Him, we mock Him, we disobey Him. Yet---- He still loves us??? How can this be?? It is truly amazing!!! The image of the Sacred Heart is so beautiful. He is shown with a Heart burning with Love - surrounded by a crown of thorns showing that He is willing to suffer and die for us. The flames coming from His Heart show that His love never dies. His burning furnace of Love never extinguishes! This should bring us intense joy even in the midst of all this chaos! There is so much hatred and coldness today and there should not be. Where have we gone wrong? We don't even fully understand the gift of Himself in the Eucharist. He humbles Himself to be our food and He understood that He would be mistreated in that state. He would be received sacrilegiously. He would be treated like a dead object. He would be trampled upon. Yet He still subjects Himself each day to this in order for us to receive Him truly present in the Most Holy Sacrament. He loves us to folly! We, who understand this, need to make reparation for this ingratitude and try to comfort Him in imitation of our Blessed Mother. His Sacred Heart is found in the Most Holy Eucharist and is the powerhouse of grace! There is enough grace to transform the world! Why is it not transformed? St. Francis deSales says that we are not saints because we do not desire to be. We are not aware of His Real Presence or His Real Love for us. We need to spend more time in prayer, adoration and reparation for the world today. May we trust in His goodness and love. May we pray to be transformed in Love! May we ask to be His Light in a cold dark world! May we ask Our Blessed Mother to pray for us! "Act of Consecration of the Human Race to the Sacred Heart of Jesus": Most sweet Jesus, Redeemer of the human race, look down upon us humbly prostrate before Thy altar. We are Thine, and Thine we wish to be; but, to be more surely united with Thee, behold each one of us freely consecrates himself today to Thy Most Sacred Heart. Many indeed have never known Thee; many too, despising Thy precepts, have rejected Thee. Have mercy on them all, most merciful Jesus, and draw them to Thy Sacred Heart. Be Thou King, O Lord, not only of the faithful who have never forsaken Thee, but also of the prodigal children who have abandoned Thee; grant that they may quickly return to their Father's house lest they die of wretchedness and hunger. Be Thou King of those who are deceived by erroneous opinions, or whom discord keeps aloof; call them back to the harbor of truth and unity of faith, so that soon there may be but one flock and one Shepherd. Be Thou King of all those who are still involved in the darkness of idolatry or of Islamism; refuse not to draw them all into the light and kingdom of God. Turn Thine eyes of mercy toward the children of that race, once Thy chosen people: of old they called down upon themselves the Blood of the Savior; may it now descend upon them a laver of redemption and of life. Grant, O Lord, to Thy Church assurance of freedom and immunity from harm; give peace and order to all nations, and make the earth resound from pole to pole with one cry: Praise to the Divine Heart that wrought our salvation; to It be glory and Honor forever. Amen Immaculate Heart of Mary please pray for us that the world may be transformed with the divine Light and Love of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus! I kiss the wounds of Your Most Sacred Heart with sorrow deep and true..... may every beat of my heart today be a million acts of love for You!!! Greetings in Jesus and Mary... This Thursday is the Feast of Corpus Christi. I will be away from my computer and not able to write about this great feast so it comes to you early. I hope you will have a nearby procession to go to this Thursday (or Sunday) in order to honor our Lord truly present in the Blessed Sacrament......(WHILE WE STILL CAN!!) I have had this site since 2017 and see that I have only ever written on the Holy Eucharist in relation to the Sacred Heart. The two are one in the same and I always like to emphasize that. I will give a little info on the Sacred Heart here and below that will be an article taken from Tradition in Action on the Origins of this great feast. May we keep each other in prayer and trust with all our hearts in the power of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus truly present in the Holy Eucharist! History of the Sacred Heart..... It was to a Visitation nun named St. Margaret Mary who was given the devotion to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus and also the request to make a Holy Hour each Thursday night in reparation for all the ingratitude and sins of the world. Thursday is the day chosen by Christ to give us the gift of Himself in the Most Holy Eucharist and also the ministerial priesthood (His victim souls for the Church), These are so related to each other. The act of devotion to the Sacred Heart is atonement. The love of Jesus is dishonored by the ingratitude of men, as He Himself declared in the third great apparition to St. Margaret Mary: “Behold this Heart which has so loved men that it has spared nothing, even to exhausting and consuming itself, in order to testify its love. In return, I receive from the greater part only ingratitude, by their irreverence and sacrileges, and by the coldness and contempt they have for me in this Sacrament of Love.” Then He asked her to atone for these ingratitudes by the ardor of her own love: “My daughter, I come into the heart I have given you in order that through your fervor you may atone for the offenses which I have received from lukewarm and slothful hearts which dishonor me in the Blessed Sacrament.” Thursday is the Feast of Corpus Christi when we celebrate this great gift of Himself in the Blessed Sacrament of Love. A day of Mass, processions and great expressions of our love and gratitude for this gift of Love. History on the Origins of the Feast of Corpus Christi (taken from Tradition in Action) Many centuries had passed over the Church of Christ before there was any distinct feast of the Blessed Sacrament. And in the 13th century when Our Lord chose that it should be instituted, He had recourse to a simple nun in a vision to be the instrument of this devotion in His Church. St. Thomas Aquinas was living then, and so was King St. Louis, but God chose neither the learning of the one nor the royal power of the other to be the means of executing His desire. From the age of 16, Juliana of Liège (1193-1252), recurrently received the same vision when she knelt in prayer: A brilliant moon continually appeared before her with one small portion obscured and invisible. That Belgian canoness in the Augustinian canonry of Mont Cornillon tried in vain to chase the vision away. Finally Our Lord Himself came to explain it to her. He said it was to show that the liturgical year of the Church would remain incomplete until the Blessed Sacrament had a feast of its own, and He wished it to be instituted for the following reasons:
For 20 years the secret lay hidden in Juliana's heart; she dared not reveal it to anyone, and yet an interior impulse urged her on so that she could not forget it. So terrible was her repugnance for the mission assigned to her that she shed tears of blood over it. At length she imparted the mission to her confessor, and with her leave he consulted others, especially Fr. James de Threzis, Archdeacon at the Cathedral of Liège. This priest was afterwards elected Bishop of Verdun, then Patriarch of Jerusalem and, at last, Pontiff of Rome, being called Urban IV. From the time it was divulged, it became a public question, and men were sorely divided upon it. Many canons and monks protested against the new devotion and argued that the Daily Sacrifice was sufficient to commemorate the love of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament - without a special day being particularly assigned for that purpose. Juliana prayed on as civic unrest and religious controversies raged around her; the city where she lived was lost and won in the waging Guelph/Ghibbelline struggle, sacked by a lawless army, and retaken. Three successive convents were either burned or otherwise destroyed over her head. Twice Juliana, now superior of the Convent and enforcing the strict Augustinian Rule, was forced to flee her convent. After the second time, she found refuge in a Cistercian convent, then another, and then among the poor Beguines. From there she took up residence in the Cistercian Abbey at Salzinners, and finally at Fosses-les-Villes, where she lived in seclusion until her death. Yet no earthly troubles could make her forget the task that Our Lord had assigned her. She died before it was accomplished, yet she had done enough in her lifetime to provide for its execution. In her wanderings, she had met with a few men with devotion and learning to defend the feast of the Blessed Sacrament and they helped to spread the devotion, especially among the simple people. After her death, Pope Urban IV, who was favorable to the feast, was asked to extend the devotion to the entire Church. The Eucharistic miracle of Orvieto in 1263 was instrumental in his final decision favoring the installation of the Feast of Corpus Christi. POST NOTE: I had to add that if you watch the scenes of the processions on any video today THEY ARE NOT LIKE THE CATHOLIC EUROPE OF OLD! The cities would have been Catholic...they would all genuflect as the monstrance approached....they would prepare tables with flowers or make beautiful images of petals on the ground....they would come to their windows and wave white handkerchiefs in respect to the Most Holy Eucharist.
Today......you see people just walk by, MANY Catholics themselves do not know how to genuflect every time they enter a Church...or see a Monstrance pass them by....(in my Novus Ordo parish growing up in the 60's and 70's ...I never saw a monstrance...until I found a traditional parish in my 20's) Do we give honor even in our homes with altars of flowers and reverence for our family prayer gatherings? Something to think about - we have come a long way from being truly Catholic....time to think about bringing it back in love, honor and REPARATION. Homework: check the internet for different processions....some countries still do elaborate ones...with petal decorations on the ground and elaborate banners. Greetings in Jesus and Mary.... Blessed Trinity Sunday to all! We are all called to love the Triune God Who we are told in Scripture is Love! How are we to do this? At Fatima, the Holy Trinity is mentioned in the prayers taught to the children for reparation... O Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Ghost, I adore Thee profoundly. I offer Thee the most precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ present in all the tabernacles of the world, in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges and indifferences by which He is offended. By the infinite merits of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary I beg the conversion of poor sinners. And again.... Most Holy Trinity, I adore Thee! My God, my God, I love Thee in the Most Blessed Sacrament. A great example for all of us is Mary in our praise to the Most Holy Trinity Who is adored, praised and glorified as GOD like no other of God's creatures. Mary understood the mystery of the Blessed Trinity as none other of God's children has ever or will ever understand it. Thanks be to the Most High God for giving our Queen and Mother such profound graces. I love to think of how at EVERY INSTANT there is a creature that gives God His just Adoration, Praise and Thanksgiving IN THE MOST PERFECT WAY! And that is through Mary...does not this idea alone inspire us to Consecrate ourselves to Jesus Through Her in order to participate is this beautiful reality! Just think... if ALL of God's creatures supplied Him with such perfect Love at every instant as Our Queen and Mother does! THINK OF WHAT THE WORLD WOULD BE!!! But NO we have quite the opposite going on right now! The world is growing COLDER AND COLDER by the minute. Satan is infiltrating EVERYWHERE! Families are splitting apart, Orders within the Church are suffering, our Pope is destroying the Church, its ministers are going against Church Teaching and the globalist elites are trying to replace the world of God and His creation with the world of Satan and man's "creations" (AI, nanoparticles, transhumanism, fake food, cloning, GMOs and the like). Love seems to be missing.....therefore God seems to be missing...all by our own choice as His creatures being led astray by Satan with false teachings and desires. The world seems to want to serve a new trinity....Me Myself and I. That is the new god of the day. Many love it above all things. Many choose to serve it above all things. Many will not make sacrifices of love to any other. The result is a cold, selfish, uncaring hateful world. All of God's Life is despised now. May we pray the above Fatima reparation prayers often for these sins committed against the True Triune God. May we pray to Our Lady to help and guide us to the True Triune God so that we may live with Him for all Eternity! As we near the Feast of Corpus Christi - may we turn to Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament to draw closer to the God of Love - truly present in the Eucharist! Have a blessed day - adoring the Triune God of Heaven! Greetings in Jesus and Mary... We can start a Novena for Corpus Christi today. I have one posted under "Total Consecration to Jesus thru Mary". Greetings in Jesus and Mary! Blessed Pentecost Sunday to all of you! I thought I would put together this article around the idea that since we are all prepping for what seems to be a storm on the horizon....we need to do the best prepping of ALL...Spiritual Prepping! We have to be able to weather this intense storm. Only God knows how intense and His Knowledge is perfect. In His Infinite Wisdom, He will allow all that is needed to chastise the world and to bring back the souls that will allow that to happen. We must pray, pray and do more praying for souls to be saved and not to be lost during this storm. What better way to secure success in this endeavor than to go to Mary Who is the Spouse of the Holy Spirit. I hope this article will give all confidence to remain consecrated to Her Immaculate Heart and to renew and live this Consecration on a daily - yes hourly basis! Pray the Rosary daily and never take off your Brown Scapular which is a sign of your consecration to Her! Mary is the dispenser of all graces because God wishes for it to be so. We can go directly to God and always ask for our needs but mothers always soften the hearts of fathers. I thank the Eternal Father for giving us this great Queen and Mother. She is the channel to all of His gifts and graces. The gifts to the soul are compared to the sail of a boat in guiding it. These gifts are better described in Scripture as “spirits”. These “spirits” render the soul more passive under the hand of God, and at the same time more active in following Him and accomplishing His works. Mary, Spouse of the Holy Spirit brings us light from God’s throne. St. Gabriel came to Our Lady, the greatest creature ever created by God, with the message, “The Holy Spirit shall come upon You, and the Power of the Most High Will overshadow You! Through Mary's fiat, we learn that the gifts of the Holy Spirit, the intervention of God in the activity of the soul becomes direct and more complete. The soul’s activity is taken over by God, and the faculties become His instruments. The Holy Spirit gave Her new life, and Mary said yes to the sweet influence of the Spirit of God. God’s Spirit worked in Her without hindrance, or disturbance, nor meeting with the slightest opposition in this amazing creature of God chosen to be the Mother of God and therefore the Mother of us all. We can learn from this! What is important for all of us to know is that the Holy Spirit still works and loves to work by Her. He formed Jesus by means of Mary, and to this day He forms all the elect by means of Mary. He formed the God-Man, the Head of the elect, by Mary, and will continue to form the members of that Head by the same sweet means, His Spouse …Mary! She is constantly working in the souls of men by bringing the Holy Spirit to breathe the breath of life into their withering souls, assisting Her children to be instruments of that same Spirit of Love. The more we love God’s Spirit ourselves, the more we will bring that same Spirit to others as She did…and does. Today, on this Pentecost, let us, then make a resolution to daily ... even hourly, to beg our Mother Mary to help us to know the Third Person of the Most Holy Trinity better in order that we may have light to understand better what is difficult to understand….in order, to stay on the path to God during these trying days in history. Let us ask to receive through Mary all the gifts necessary to be true soldiers of Jesus Christ and live and die in His Holy Love. If we keep close to Mary, The Spouse of the Holy Spirit, we can be confident that She will guide us, She will pray for us, She will intercede for all our needs and we will be given the gifts of the Holy Spirit according to our prayers and earnest wishes. We will not be confused about all that is going on around us. We will be an instrument for all those around us to have the peace and love necessary to obtain eternal life. We will do the work God intends that we should do instead of being paralyzed with fear and confusion. Through the prayers of our good Queen and Mother, the Holy Spirit will work in us, forming us into noble children of God and He will shower us with gifts, virtues and graces…all by the means of Mary. O, sweet Mother, You were made the Mother of God and Mother of us all by the working of the Holy Spirit. You love the Holy Spirit Who possesses You in all Your ways with an immense love, and this love we Your children wish to share with You! Please teach Your children to love Him, in order that our souls become placed in the care and keeping of the Holy Spirit by Your hands. Your Immaculate Heart which is united to God is our anchor of safety, a port of refuge, a beacon of light in the dark storms of life that we are living in. Your Immaculate Heart is our happy home that we trust will lead us to God for all eternity. Mary, Spouse of the Holy Spirit, pray for us! Please send forth the graces of Your Flame of Love to all of mankind! |
