Hello Everyone: Tomorrow is a New Year – 2020! A time for new (or renewed) resolutions and a firm commitment to Our Lord Jesus Christ! A dear friend of mine says – “It is a great time to be alive!” Some would disagree but we are here and God wills it so! The question is – “How am I to cope with the present day sorrows in the Catholic Church?” It is not my intent to go over those sorrows. If we do not know of them – there are many sites on the internet to inform us of them. It is my intent to focus on what Our Lady of Fatima came to warn us of and Her remedy! Just before Our Lady came to Fatima in 1917, Pope St. Pius X reigned from 1903 to 1914 and is known as a Pope against Modernism. He did everything he could in his power to keep the tsunami of modernism from taking over the Church. He knew that upon his death – it would flood the Church with its poison. We are graced by God with his writings and those of other Popes who have spoken against this infectious disease called – Modernism. St. Pius X called modernism the synthesis of all heresies. This is serious! We cannot be asleep at this time in history knowing this. Our faith and the faith of our children are at stake! We must be vigilant and watch and pray. A little digression but on the subject --- My sister just yesterday stated that the faith of her son who just graduated college is weakened by all the scandals in the Church. I told her - all of the youth are scandalized and more so if they do not have a deep prayer life! We will start with Pope St. Pius X’s encyclical - “Pascendi” (link below) warning all of us with – “We allude, Venerable Brethren, to many who belong to the Catholic laity, nay, and this is far more lamentable, to the ranks of the priesthood itself, who, feigning a love for the Church, lacking the firm protection of philosophy and theology, nay more, thoroughly imbued with the poisonous doctrines taught by the enemies of the Church, and lost to all sense of modesty, vaunt themselves as reformers of the Church; and, forming more boldly into line of attack, assail all that is most sacred in the work of Christ, not sparing even the person of the Divine Redeemer, whom, with sacrilegious daring, they reduce to a simple, mere man.” Again – speaking of the Modernists – this will sound familiar to what is going on today…… “Blind that they are, and leaders of the blind, inflated with a boastful science, they have reached that pitch of folly where they pervert the eternal concept of truth and the true nature of the religious sentiment; with that new system of theirs they are seen to be under the sway of a blind and unchecked passion for novelty, thinking not at all of finding some solid foundation of truth, but despising the holy and apostolic traditions, they embrace other vain, futile, uncertain doctrines, condemned by the Church, on which, in the height of their vanity, they think they can rest and maintain truth itself.” (Just a note - Pope St. Pius X was found to be incorrupt in 1944 when his body was exhumed. He was canonized on May 29, 1954 by Pope Pius XII. Being that he is incorrupt should give more credibility to the writings and effort he made for us and the Church. May we read his writings and understand the present dangers!) The great philosopher and theologian Dietrich Von Hildebrand states in his book – “The Devastated Vineyard” that it would be thoroughly false to say: since God allows it, it must be according to His will, and so we have nothing to do but say, “Thy will be done”, (which I hear ALOT!) As St. Paul says, “God allows these evils in order to test us. But it is a deadly and radically false notion to think that, because God allows heresies to be readily spread, we should not fight against them but should go along with them in a spirit of resignation. This is a false interpretation of resignation to God’s Will. We should instead be filled with pain and sorrow and a firm resolution to fight against it as a true soldier of Jesus Christ and His Kingdom. It is a trick of the devil to be so scandalized by all of these evils within the Church as to give up. To just feel helpless and hopeless when we have God on our side and all of Heaven with all the angels and saints – not to mention Our Blessed Mother who can defeat ALL HERESIES! We need to wake up and be diligent against the enemy. The remnant is small but we cannot be weak! We must trust in God and do all in our power to be true soldiers of Jesus Christ and His Church. How?? – We all can start in our own families and with our friends who are losing hope. We are called to place love where there is no love, truth where there is no truth, faith where there is no faith. Can we do this on our own? No – we have to make a firm resolution to be in union with God through prayer and especially the rosary. It is a means of great contemplative prayer. It is a prayer that Our Lady, Queen of Heaven and Earth asked us to pray! Put on Her Armor – Wear the Brown Scapular and spread these devotions to your family and others during this crucial time in history. Place yourself and your family under Her Mantle and Consecrate them all to Her care. She will defeat the heresies that are all around us and She will guide us to Her Son! We can be sure of being guided on this stormy sea to our destiny which is Heaven. She is the Star of the Sea. The Blessed Trinity is so good to us in giving us all that we need through Her Immaculate Hands! God be praised for such a gift and such a consolation during these very very trying times. May we turn to Her – Live the Fatima Message of Rosary, Consecration, Sacramental Life, Brown Scapular and Reparation for the crimes committed all around us. With this life, we will find Peace and Love and fulfill the Will of God. If we do this – She will protect us and our loved ones from the wiles of the devil and his deceptions now penetrated into the Church. She will guide us to Her Son and finally to our eternal home! BLESSED NEW YEAR TO ALL OF YOU – MAY WE KEEP EACH OTHER IN PRAYER AND REMAIN GOD’S REMNANT NOW AND FOREVER!! HOLY MOTHER MARY - PRAY FOR US!!

Blessed Christmas Everyone!! "Ecce Maria genuit nobis Salvatorem, quem Joannes videns exclamavit, dicens: Ecce Agnus Dei, ecce qui tollit peccata mundi, alleluia!" "Behold, Mary has generated a Savior for us, Whom John seeing exclaimed, saying: Behold the Lamb of God, behold Him who takes away the sins of the world, alleluia!" -Antiphon in Lauds for the Octave of Christmas Hello Everyone: December 17 starts the last week of Advent and we begin with the "O Antiphons". This is such a beautiful devotion to practice just before Christmas. If this is not enough info on it - please refer to the articles written in my archives 2017 during December on the "O Antiphons". Here is a repeat of a beautiful article written by Professor Plinio Correa de Oliveira found on Tradition in Action: Expectation of Our Lady - December 18 by: Prof. Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira We are in the last week of Advent, which the Church calls the Week of Expectation. We are only one week away from the Birth of Our Lord, and the Church imagines the jubilation and hope of Our Lady in expectation of her parturition: she was waiting to admire the Blessed Face of the Son she was generating in her womb. Our Lady had begged God to hasten the coming of the Messiah, God heard her omnipotent prayer, and the Incarnation in fact was anticipated. She was invited to be the Mother of the Word. She accepted, and conceived the Incarnate Word in her womb. In this last week of her gestation, she is waiting with expectation to see the Face of her Son so that she might have a more profound knowledge of His soul and His full personality. She also awaits the salvation of the world that approaches. She sees the hour coming when the glory of God will cease to be offended by the legacy of original sin. The Devil’s reign that dominated for more than 4,000 years is drawing to its end. She senses that the Reign of Our Lord Jesus Christ is near. Only one week is lacking for the birth of the Word that marks the beginning of the end of the reign of the Devil. It was definitely destroyed when Our Lord was immolated on the Cross and the Redemption was consummated. These considerations filled the heart of Our Lady with hope. That is why during this period of waiting she is called Our Lady of the Expectation, Our Lady of the Hope or Our Lady of the O!, since on each of the seven days before Christmas there is an antiphon in the liturgy that the Church attributes to her. All of these antiphons begin with the exclamation – O! – and continue with adapted words of the Old Testament that refer to the birth of Our Lord and His Redemption. These antiphons, called the "Greater Antiphons" or the "O Antiphons," are the following: Antiphon 1: O Wisdom! Thou came forth from the mouth of the Most High and, reaching from beginning to end, Thou ordered all things mightily and sweetly. Come, and teach us the way of prudence. Antiphon 2: O Adonai, Ruler of the House of Israel! Thou appeared to Moses in the fire of the burning bush and on Mount Sinai gave him Thy law. Come to redeem us with the strength of Thy arm. Antiphon 3: O Root of Jesse! Thou stand as a sign for all peoples; before Thee kings shall keep silence and to Thee all nations shall have recourse. Come, save us, and do not delay. Antiphon 4: O Key of David, Scepter of the House of Israel! Thou doth open and no man closes; Thou doth close and no man opens. Come, and deliver from the chains of prison those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death. Antiphon 5: O Rising Dawn, Radiance of the Light eternal and Sun of Justice! Come and enlighten those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death. Antiphon 6: O King of the Gentile, the Awaited One of all! Thou are the cornerstone that binds two into one. Come, and save man whom Thou fashioned out of clay. Antiphon 7: O Emmanuel, our King and Lawgiver, the Hope and Salvation of the nations! Come and save us, O Lord our God. Hello Everyone: I just found this Novena being promoted by Bishop Jenky in Peoria IL for the cause of Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen. Thank you all for your prayers for Jennifer. Since Monday, the 40th Anniversary of Bishop Fulton Sheen's death she has been feeling improvement and energy without knowing we were praying for her healing. May we continue to do so and may Our Good God grant us this request of a complete healing of her if it be His Holy Will. Below is the website where the Novena to be said is found - also this is a great site to watch Bishop Sheen and find titles of his books. Enjoy! Have a blessed Advent!! Hello Everyone: Hope all are well and preparing for the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ! First Friday and First Saturday have come and gone and I hope many graces were received by you, your loved ones and the world. So much grace is needed today! Our Lady is full of grace! Hard to comprehend but it is a great mystery and a great gift from God Himself to all of us. We are so blessed to have such a good and loving Mother who cares for all of us and want NO ONE to perish! This life is passing and passing quickly - the next is eternal! Today, December 8th is the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. May Our Lady intercede for all of us as we struggle in this vale of tears! I have a prayer request of all readers----- Jennifer, a 32 year old mother of three young boys, is dying of cancer and is in need of a miracle. I would like to ask all of you to pray to Venerable Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen for a miracle. Tomorrow is his 40th anniversary of his death on December 9th 1979. As many of you know - Rome has put a postponement on his beatification which was scheduled for Dec 21st and I have posted a link below. Venerable Bishop Sheen had heroic virtue in leading souls to God. He is an amazing example for all those in the Catholic Church and out! He was the reason for many - who knows how many that came into the Catholic Church during his time on TV and radio. We need him again in America and in the world as a held up example considering all the scandal that envelops the world right now. Venerable Bishop Sheen had an amazing devotion to Our Lady and dedicated each and every book to her! May Our Lady and the intercession of Venerable Bishop Sheen help heal Jennifer if it be the Holy Will of Our Lord Jesus Christ! God bless all of you and please share this article with others for Jennifer and for Venerable Archbishop Sheen! Thank you!! (Below is also posted a link regarding the President of the US. May we pray for him and his presidency so that we can continue to draw this nation back to God and the real meaning of Christmas - Holy Mother Mary pray for us - Archbishop Sheen pray for us.) Hello Everyone: We have ended the liturgical year and are now in the first week of Advent - preparing for the birth of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. There is a great homily on the end times and the coming of the Antichrist posted on Sensus Fidelium website. I have put the link below because it is worth meditating upon. The priest mentions the book - 'The End of the Present World' which is also worth reading. It was written in the 18th century by a French priest and it is quite insightful - especially his words on the Antichrist and how he will rule the world. The author was not sure how that was going to come to pass but as we see the new technology and the AI that is everywhere - it is not hard to realize now. A great read and recommend it to all. I will put a link for it as well as this homily. God bless! |
