Hello Everyone: Here we are at the first Sunday of Lent and we see suffering already! So much of it everywhere but especially in the Catholic Church. Below are two articles from The Remnant Newspaper regarding trouble at the Vatican. May we pray and offer sacrifices for the crimes committed against the Sacred Heart of Jesus right from the Vatican. How sad is that. It seems so horrifying that our own Vicar of Christ is betraying Our Lord and Master; and there are very few voices speaking out against this and trying to get all to understand what is going on. Posted below are the links to these atrocities - please share with Catholics (and priests) that you know that are led astray by clergy who push Catholics to vote Democrat. Here are the facts. Let them see and hopefully pray about their decision come November - if we make it to November!! God bless and if you are renewing your Consecration - please check out Consecration to Jesus through Mary for week number two information.

Hello Everyone: Today starts Lent - a time of drawing closer to God and repenting of sin, in preparation for Easter. We have been keeping our eyes and ears on the news of the coronovirus that sprung out of China. It does look like it will be a pandemic. With the widespread sin we have been witnessing EVERYWHERE for so so long - is it a wonder? Many are not even aware that we have locusts in the billions eating crops from Africa to the Middle East. (link below) Not making MSM news because this might likely get people to open up their bibles to review Bible History. Yes - when men turn away from God - chastisements do happen. Our Lady of Fatima warned that God allows wars to occur as a punishment for sin. I pray we will not see a Third World War but these chastisements are actually more merciful - why? We have time to repent and to ask for forgiveness - and to pray. If we had nuclear bombs falling - not much time to repent and many souls LOST FOREVER! This would be devastating! There are two sites (Rorate Caeli and Lifesite News) which have noted a time in history when Pope Gregory I called for prayer and processions to end a plague in Italy. (link below) This article will recall a time in Portugal in 1432 when they were stricken with a plague and called on the Holy Name of Jesus. May we read both of these incidents and have hope that God will provide and may we trust Him and draw others to trust Him while we go through this calamity during this Lent and into the future. The following is taken from "The Wonders of the Holy Name" by Fr. Paul O'Sullivan, 1947. pgs. 6-7": "A devastating plague broke out in Lisbon in 1432. All who could do so fled in terror from the city and thus carried the plague to every corner of the entire country of Portugal. Thousands of men, women and children, young and old were swept away by the cruel sickness. So virulent was the epidemic that men died everywhere, at table, in the streets, in their houses, in the shops, in the market places, in the churches. To use the words of historians, it flashed like lightning from man to man, or from a coat, a hat or any garment that had seen used by the plague stricken. Priests, doctors and nurses were carried off in such numbers that the bodies of many lay unburied in the streets so that the dogs licked up the blood and ate the flesh of the dead, becoming as a result infested with the dread disease and spreading it still more widely among the unfortunate people. Among those who assisted the dying with unflagging zeal was a venerable Bishop, Monsignor Andre Dias who lived in the Convent of St. Dominic. This holy man seeing that the epidemic, far from diminishing, grew every day in intensity and, despairing of human help, urged the unhappy people to call on the Holy Name of Jesus. He was seen wherever the disease was fiercest, urging, imploring the sick and the dying as well as those who had not as yet been stricken down, to repeat Jesus, Jesus. "Write it on cards, he said, and keep those cards on your persons, place them at night under your pillows, place them on your doors, but above all constantly invoke with your lips and in your hearts this most powerful Name". He went about as an Angel of peace filling the sick and the dying with courage and confidence. The poor sufferers felt within them a new life and calling on Jesus, wore the cards on their breasts or carried them in their pockets. Then summoning them to the great Church of St. Dominic he once more spoke to them of the power of the Name of Jesus, blessed water in the same Holy Name, ordering all the people to sprinkle themselves with it and sprinkle it on the faces of the sick and dying. Wonder of wonders! the sick got well, the dying arose from their agonies, the plague ceased and the city was delivered in a few days from the most awful scourge that had ever visited it. The news spread to the whole country and all began to call, with one accord, on the Name of Jesus. In an incredibly short time all of Portugal was freed from the dread sickness. The grateful people, mindful of the marvels they had witnessed, continued their love and confidence in the Name of our Savior, so that in all their troubles, in all dangers, when evils of any kind threatened them they invoked the Holy Name of Jesus. Confraternities were formed in the churches, processions of the Holy Name were made monthly, altars were raised in honor of this Blessed Name, so that the greatest curse that had ever fallen on the country was transformed into the greatest blessing." May we learn from this and look with confidence to Heaven during these trying times and call out to Jesus and Mary and through their Holy Names beg for God's grace and mercy upon this sinful world. Hello Everyone: Today is the Feast day of the Holy Face of Jesus. It is a moveable feast and is always on Shrove Tuesday which is the day before Ash Wednesday. Devotion to the Holy Face was revealed by Jesus to Sr. Marie of St. Peter (1816-1848) a Carmelite nun of Tours in France. The primary purpose of the devotion is to make reparation for sins against the first three commandments: Denial of God which includes Freemasonry that has infiltrated our Church, Blasphemy - using God's name in vain, Profanation of Sundays and Holy Days which are all greatly prevalent today. The devotion to the Holy Face of Jesus, based on the life and writings of Sr. Marie of St. Peter, was eventually approved by Pope Leo XIII in 1885 who established the devotion as an Arch-confraternity for the whole world. In January 1849 Pope Pius IX had the relic of Veronica’s veil placed for public veneration in Rome. During this time, the Divine Face appeared distinctly, as if living, and was illuminated by a soft light. Reproductions of the veil were later printed, touched to the original and sent abroad for veneration such as the one printed at the top of this article. The Holy Man of Tours - Leo Dupont Leo Dupont heard of the reported visions of Jesus and Mary by the Carmelite nun Sister Marie of St Peter from 1844 to 1847. Based on this, Dupont started to burn a vigil lamp continuously before a picture of the Holy Face of Jesus based on the painted image on the Veil of Veronica. Dupont used that image because the existence of a clear image on the Shroud of Turin was not known to anyone at that time for the somewhat faded image of the face on the Shroud can not easily be seen with the naked eye and was only observed in May 1898 via the negative plate of Secondo Pia's first photograph. In 1851 Dupont formed the "Archconfraternity of the Holy Face" in Tours. He prayed for and promoted the case for a devotion to the Holy Face of Jesus for around 30 years. Blessed Maria Pierina de Micheli & The Holy Face of Jesus Devotion & Medal At the age of twelve, when she was in her Parish Church during the 3pm Good Friday service, she heard a Voice saying quite distinctly: "No one gives me a kiss of love on My Face to make amends for the Kiss of Judas." In her childlike simplicity, she believed that the voice was heard by everyone and was pained to see that only the wounds were kissed but not the face. In her heart exclaiming, "Have patience, dear Jesus, I will give you a kiss of love", and when her turn came she lovingly and devoutly imprinted a kiss on His Face. (This is true - on Good Friday - many feel that kissing His face would be too bold but it would be an act of Reparation for the wounds inflicted by these sins. If one is to think you are bold - then this too can be offered as an act of Reparation in itself because you know that it is done out of love!) Mother Maria Pierina de Micheli obtained permission from her spiritual Director and although she did not have any financial means to get medals of the Holy Face made. She obtained the permission of the photographer Bruner to take copies of the Holy Shroud as reproduced by him, and she received the permission to do so by the Archdiocese of Milan on the August 9, 1940. Since then the devotion and the medal have been spread worldwide with much enthusiasm, accompanied all the while by wonderful graces, conversions and cures as a testament and heavenly sign of God's institution and approval of both. St. Therese and the Martin Family This devotion was practiced in France where it began, therefore, the Martin family were one of the first to join in this Archconfraternity of the Holy Face and it became a sweet devotion of St. Therese; so much so that she was inspired to take the full title of: ‘Sr. Therese of the Child Jesus and of the Holy Face’. May we make it a devotion of our own for the many crimes committed today. We can not just sit back but be active in making Reparation. The Holy Face devotion is a great means of grace. Please check out more information on this website under Devotions for more information on the Holy Face. "O Bleeding Face, O Face Divine, be every Adoration Thine." (3 times) God bless! Hello Everyone: We are coming upon Lent 2020 next Wednesday! How fast time flies. It seems I am always saying that. Life is short and therefore we should be heroic in following Jesus in the Gospels. Lent is a time of fasting, praying and almsgiving. We hear it every year. We make resolutions every year. We fall – every year. Are we going to be courageous even though we know we have failed in the past? How are we to remain steadfast in our love and commitment this Lent? We need to remember that we entered life burdened with Original Sin. Only the Blessed Virgin Mary alone, through her Immaculate Conception was preserved from this taint and the Church teaches us that She was given, in addition to this supreme grace, the precious grace to keep free of actual sin throughout her life. She will be our secret to constancy -- both for this Lent and for the rest of our lives! We are left with the reality that at no moment are we free from a possible head-on collision with temptation. We live in a constant battle – not just through Lent – but throughout our entire lives – against the devil, the world and the flesh – our enemies! Nothing is more characteristic of our present age than our utter disregard of the virtue of prudence. We read everything, expose ourselves to everything, take many risks, and place ourselves at risk in extremely dangerous situations. And this happens to all people from all walks of life. Souls are like nations; if they do not take heed to their security – it will be seriously compromised; yet we do very little to protect ourselves! It just takes common sense to know and understand that sacrifice is needed to preserve the sacred treasures of our soul. But as the saying goes today, “Common sense is not so common.” Then if we can not use our common sense, let us turn to Scripture. In Matthew chapter 16, verse 24 we read: “Then Jesus said to his disciples: If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.” This is a plea for maximum generosity. If we seek God who is Love – we must follow the road He followed. Our struggle against self is indispensable. The disciple of a crucified Master cannot evade crucifixion. We must begin by avoiding sin and practicing the essential duties and virtues of a Christian and seek to do all of this with the help of our Mother Mary - She will guide us! We must make a resolution this Lent to not let the flame die out as it comes into contact with the hardships of life or with the mere monotony of the repeated demands of everyday life. Unfortunately, our inconstancy is a characteristic of the majority. Only those capable of doing violence to themselves are worthy of the kingdom of Heaven. In Matthew 11:12, we read, “And from the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent bear it away.” Which means that only those capable of doing violence to themselves are worthy of the kingdom of Heaven. How many of us can say that we have taken this message seriously?? To what extent does my life, which is supposedly Christian deserve to be called a life of violence – violence to any selfishness, violence to the enticements of the world, violence to the demands of the flesh, violence to the seductions of the devil? Does violence really characterize the life of the majority of Christians today? Pursuit of comfort, pleasure, and ease is the motivating force of almost every phase of present-day life, even among those of us who claim to strive after a truly Christian life. We may say, “Are we obliged to aim so high?” – We must aim at the perfection God expects of us. Could the Gospel still be called the Gospel if it were stripped of one of its strongest precepts, “Whosoever doth not carry his cross, and come after Me, cannot be My disciple.” Luke 14:27. YIKES!! We must never forget the example Jesus left for us in picking up His cross when He fell. We are to never forget that holiness consists in repeatedly beginning over. Never stop!! St. Teresa of Avila's famous quote, "We need to have determined determination!" How are we to be sure to never stop? We are to constantly turn to and pray to Our Lady to help us in this goal. Let us ask Her to give us the graces of love to continue to do violence to ourselves this Lent and to Love God Above All Things. This will be our driving force to keep vigilant this Lent with our prayers, our fasting and our almsgiving --- It is to keep constant companion to Our Lady and Her Love for Her Son and for us. May we never leave Her side EVER!! May She accompany us to Her Son in life and at the hour of our death! With tremendous love for Jesus and Mary, may we remain at the foot of the cross with Her this Lent. Hello Everyone: Today is the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes. On February 11th, 1858, Our Lady appeared to St. Bernadette to give her a message of prayer and penance for a world heading for disaster. She also came to confirm the new Dogma proclaimed by Pope Pius IX of the Immaculate Conception in 1854 (link below). She replied to St. Bernadette when asked who she was – “I am the Immaculate Conception.” To this day it is still a controversy. I can’t understand why – how in the world is the Eternal Father going to have the Holy Spirit come upon a woman of sin to conceive and bear His Only Begotten Son Jesus Christ? She was kept free from all sin from her conception for this reason – to be His first Tabernacle – immaculate and pure. God in His infinite wisdom knew she would consent to this august duty of becoming the Mother of Jesus and consequently our Mother as well. She was in perfect union to the Will of God from her conception. How could God have it any other way? I have some words from Venerable Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen below. These words were taken from a talk he did on “Catholic Hour”, March 11, 1951. Those were the days!!! I never saw them but can only imagine. When I began to study how we got to the crisis we have now in the Church, I looked up the Catholic statistics that existed just for USA. From 1920 to 1960, numbers for Catholics were SOARING!! That would make any Freemason shake in his boots! What to do??? Take over the Vatican – open a council that will change everything – including the Mass – destroy the faith in the people and call it modernism. Modernism? Didn’t the priests from 1910 make an Oath Against Modernism (link below)? (Yes, but after the Council, Pope Paul VI – ripped it up and said it exists NO MORE! Modernism reigns!) And the rest is history! Priests left in droves rather than live against the oath they made to God. A history of decline that we are living in now. Anyway – I digressed. Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen (who should be a declared saint by now but is being held up by the ecclesiastical freemasons) did amazing evangelizing to the WORLD on radio! Who needs a “new” evangelization when the traditional evangelization was working???? OK – let’s get to our talk by Bishop Fulton Sheen. (This is not in its entirety – too long – just highlights – enjoy and God bless!) “God has two pictures of us; one is what we are, the other what we ought to be. He has the model and He has the reality; the blueprint and the edifice; the score of the music and the way we play it. God has to have these two pictures because in each and every one of us there is some disproportion and want of conformity between the original plan and the way we with our freedom, worked it out. The image is blurred; the print is faded; our free acts do not coincide with the law of our being; we fall short of all God wants us to be. (very sad) But though God has two pictures of us, there is however one person in all of humanity of whom He has only one picture, and in whom there is perfect conformity between what He wanted her to be and what she is, and that is His Blessed Mother. Most of us are a minus sign, in the sense that we do not fulfill the high hopes the Heavenly Father has for us. But Mary is the equal sign. The Ideal God had for her, that she is in the flesh. The model and the copy are perfect; she is all that was foreseen, planned and dreamed. The melody of her life is played just as it was written. That is why through the centuries, Christian liturgy has applied to her the words of the Book of Proverbs (Proverbs 8:22-36). Because she is what God wanted us all to be, she speaks of herself as the Eternal Blueprint in the Mind of God, the one whom He loved before she was a creature. She is even pictured as being with Him not only before Creation but at Creation. She existed in the Divine Mind as an Eternal Thought before there were any mothers. She is the Mother of mothers. But God not only thought of her in eternity; He also had her in mind at the beginning of time. When the human race fell through the solicitation of a woman, God spoke to the Devil and said, “I will establish a feud between thee and the woman, between thy offspring and hers; she is to crush thy head, while thou dost lie in wait at her heels”, (Genesis 3:15) God was saying that if it was by a woman that man fell, it would be through a woman that God would be revenged; that evil would have its progeny, its mystical body, its Satanic communistic state, but that the Woman would have a progeny too who would be Our Lord, the Son of God, the Savior of the World. His Mother was not like ours whom we accepted as something historically fixed which we could not change; He was born of a Mother whom He chose before He was born. It is the only instance in history where both the son willed the Mother and the Mother willed the Son. And this is what the Creed means: “Born of the Virgin Mary”. She was called by God as Aaron was, and Our Lord was born not just of her flesh but even by her consent. God never does anything without exceeding preparation. The two great masterpieces of God are Creation of man and re-creation or Redemption of Man. Creation was made for unfallen men; His Mystical Body for fallen men. When man willed not to have blessings except according to his lower nature, and rebelled against heaven, God planned on remaking or redeeming man. As Eden was the Paradise of Creation, Mary is the Paradise of the Incarnation, and in her as a Garden was celebrated the first nuptials of God and man. This purity we will call the Immaculate Conception. It is not the Virgin Birth, The word “immaculate” is taken from two latin words meaning “not stained” “Conception” means that at the first moment of her conception, the Blessed Mother in the womb of her mother St. Anne, in virtue of the anticipated merits of the Redemption of her Son, was preserved free from the stains of original sin. I never could see why anyone in this day and age objects to the Immaculate Conception, because all modern pagans believe that they are immaculately conceived. If there is no original sin, then everyone is immaculately conceived. Why do they shrink from allowing to Mary what they attribute to themselves? The Immaculate Conception in no way means that Mary needed no redemption. She did! Mary is the first effect of redemption, in the sense that it was applied to her at the moment of her conception and to us in another and diminished fashion only after our birth. She had this privilege not for her sake, but for His sake. She is the blueprint of love whom God loved before the world was made, she who is the Immaculate Virgin, Mother of God. With each of you, too, I confess: She is the Woman I love! God love you!” Our Lady of Lourdes pray for us! St. Bernadette, pray for us! Hello Everyone: Many of you may know of the new letter put out by Archbishop Vigano against what is happening in Rome to help warn us of the enemy within. The links and copy of St. Francis prophecy all relate to this very same thing. God is a loving Father - He warns us of many things that we may fall prey to. We are His sheep! What to do with this knowledge? We need to remain Church Militant and pray like we have never done before. Our Lady has come many times to ask for the Rosary. Get others to pray it with you (family). Use media helps to pray with. Whatever it takes to get your prayer time in. Frequent the sacraments and pray the reparation prayers taught at Fatima and elsewhere. Offer your day for the salvation of souls! If you listen closely to Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich message - she states that the remnant will be very small. So we can not follow the majority especially if they do not hold the Truth! I have put a couple of links below to listen to the letter written by Archbishop Vigano and a prophecy that coordinates with it of Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich. Also printed below - you will see the prophecy of St. Francis of Assisi. This is all alarming but we need to be aware and not be a part of the elect who will fall prey to these deceptions which are unfolding before our eyes now. Pray for your spouses and children and share this info. The remnant will be small. People are sheeple and need lots of pray and guidance. May Our Lady of Good Success, whose feast day was yesterday, pray for us now and at the hour of our death!! Please share this info and God bless!! The following excerpt from: ("Works of the Seraphic Father St. Francis Of Assisi" [London: R. Washbourne, 1882], pp. 248-250; underlining and paragraph breaks added.) Shortly before he died in 1226, St. Francis of Assisi called together the members of his order and warned them of great tribulations that would befall the Church in the future, saying: “Act bravely, my Brethren; take courage, and trust in the Lord. The time is fast approaching in which there will be great trials and afflictions; perplexities and dissensions, both spiritual and temporal, will abound; the charity of many will grow cold, and the malice of the wicked will increase. The devils will have unusual power, the immaculate purity of our Order, and of others, will be so much obscured that there will be very few Christians who will obey the true Sovereign Pontiff and the Roman Church with loyal hearts and perfect charity. At the time of this tribulation a man, not canonically elected, will be raised to the Pontificate, who, by his cunning, will endeavor to draw many into error and death. Then scandals will be multiplied, our Order will be divided, and many others will be entirely destroyed, because they will consent to error instead of opposing it. There will be such diversity of opinions and schisms among the people, the religious and the clergy, that, except those days were shortened, according to the words of the Gospel, even the elect would be led into error, were they not specially guided, amid such great confusion, by the immense mercy of God. Then our Rule and manner of life will be violently opposed by some, and terrible trials will come upon us. Those who are found faithful will receive the crown of life; but woe to those who, trusting solely in their Order, shall fall into tepidity, for they will not be able to support the temptations permitted for the proving of the elect. Those who preserve their fervor and adhere to virtue with love and zeal for the truth, will suffer injuries and, persecutions as rebels and schismatics; for their persecutors, urged on by the evil spirits, will say they are rendering a great service to God by destroying such pestilent men from the face of the earth. But the Lord will be the refuge of the afflicted, and will save all who trust in Him. And in order to be like their Head [Jesus Christ], these, the elect, will act with confidence, and by their death will purchase for themselves eternal life; choosing to obey God rather than man, they will fear nothing, and they will prefer to perish [physically] rather than consent to falsehood and perfidy. Some preachers will keep silence about the truth, and others will trample it under foot and deny it. Sanctity of life will be held in derision even by those who outwardly profess it, for in those days Jesus Christ will send them not a true Pastor, but a destroyer.” Hello Everyone: Happy Feast Day of the Presentation of the Baby Jesus in the Temple, the Purification of Our Lady, Candlemas Day, Our Lady of Good Success and The Flame of Love. SO MUCH IN ONE DAY! I will here focus on the Flame of Love devotion. The feast day is appropriately Candlemas Day, February 2. When candles are blessed and distributed. This message was given to a Third Order Carmelite so this should be important to us! Her name was Elizabeth Kindleman, a lay woman, a widow and a mother in the early 1960's Hungary. It was a message approved by the local bishops. You can find different websites with this information. I have read a book published by Two Hearts Publishing in the 1990's. Since then, it seems that the websites and movements have mixed and mingled a bit of modernism in the way this message is received and practiced. I try to stick to the original book published in the 90's. For example: "mankind" for "humankind" in the prayer. There are prayer cenacles where passing of candles and hand holding is encouraged. I do not think any of that is necessary. I do believe the message makes sense and that we need "The Flame of Love" to combat the coldness that Satan is spreading EVERYWHERE! So I caution all of you to beware of the modern movements - you will recognize them if you are close to Our Lady. The prayer that I say after each decade (and not incorporated into the Hail Mary as asked) is ----- "Immaculate Heart of Mary please send forth the graces of Your Flame of Love to all of mankind!" As we know from all that the Church teaches -- This Flame of Love is Jesus Himself. Our Lady is only the vessel that contains this Love and She has from the start been the distributor of this Love to all of mankind. She is the Mediatrix of All Graces! Therefore - this is theologically sound and greatly needed today to combat the hatred and coldness that Satan and his cohorts are spreading! Another devotion mentioned in the book is to start our private prayer with 5 Signs of the Cross in reparation for the wounds of Christ. I believe that this is a beautiful devotion and better if signed with Holy Water. I believe this is an important message for today. If you happen to find on line used books by the publishing company listed - it is very good. "The Flame of Love of the Immaculate Heart of Mary" which is a spiritual diary of a Third Order Carmelite. There are messages of days of fasting, prayers to be said, prayers specifically for priests etc. Here is a prayer to St. Joseph as well. It is very powerful and beautiful to memorize. PRAYER TO SAINT JOSEPH - O God, who by your ineffable Providence has deigned to choose Saint Joseph as spouse of your Most Holy Mother, consent, we beg You, in having as our intercessor in Heaven the one we venerate as our protector on earth. Amen. Dear St. Joseph, May we live an innocent and safe life under your patronage. Our celestial patron Saint Joseph, you looked for a shelter for the Blessed Virgin in Bethlehem. Help us to look for a shelter for her Flame of Love in human hearts. |
