The Power of St. Anne's Intercession

 Almighty God privileged St. Anne above all others in choosing her to be the mother of the Queen of Heaven. This favored Saint ranks high in merit and glory, near to the Word Incarnate and to His most holy Mother. Certainly, then, St. Anne has great power with God. Yes, assuredly the mother of the most powerful and amiable Virgin is likewise full of power and mercy.

   To many Saints God has granted the power of working miracles. He told His Apostles that they would do greater things than He had done. Now surely, what He promised to His chosen followers He could not refuse to His own grandmother! Those related to Him by the ties of blood were dear to Him in life and still have great power through their intercession. There can be no question, then, that St. Anne has great influence over her Divine Grandson and that by her intercessory power she can also work miracles in favor of her clients.

   Tradition, the history of the Church and the chronicles of various places of pilgrimage have recorded countless miracles wrought by Christ through the intercession of His Sainted grandmother. Nor have they ceased to this day. Yearly, hundreds of thousands of persons visit the shrine of St. Anne de Beaupré in Canada alone. Many are cured of diseases; all are comforted and consoled. These favors serve to strengthen and confirm our trust and confidence in the power of the intercession of good St. Anne.

The famous and learned Abbot Trithemius practiced an extraordinary devotion to St. Anne and did all in his power to induce others to venerate her. He wrote a book in her praise in which he says: "To St. Anne God has given the power to aid in every necessity, because Jesus, her Divine Grandchild according to the flesh, will refuse her no petition, and Mary, her glorious daughter, supports her every request. Those who venerate good St. Anne shall want for nothing, either in this life or the next. Believe me, if you love and venerate this Saint, you will experience how highly God esteems her. He grants all she asks! It would be impossible to enumerate the many graces she obtains daily for her servants."

   The same writer continues: "St. Anne by her intercession dispels melancholy and evil desires. She also aids the poor, cures the sick and comforts the sorrowing. She removes tribulations and by her intercession obtains for her clients the grace to eradicate vice and implant virtue. She obtains light for the intellect, strength for the will and affection for the heart. This powerful Saint has preserved thousands from contagious diseases. Through her intercession, evil spirits have been expelled. For the barren in the married state, she obtains children and Heavenly assistance in delivery. She inspires the despairing with trust in God's mercy and excites the tepid to zeal and fervor. St. Anne has rescued many from imminent death; yes, through her intercession the dead have, in several instances, been restored to life. Those who worthily venerate St. Anne can obtain aid in every necessity through her mediation."

   Pope Gregory XIII, when introducing the feast of St. Anne into the Church, declared: "We believe that St. Anne continually intercedes for us with the merciful Lord, for through her great benefits have come to mankind. From her was born the ever pure and immaculate Virgin Mary, who was found worthy to bring forth Jesus Christ, our Redeemer."

   Pope Gregory XV encourages us thus: "We do not doubt that the more love we show to the mother of Mary, the more we merit the intercession and aid of the holy Virgin who brought forth the only-begotten Son of God, Our Lord Jesus Christ."
   St. Teresa of Avila often said: "We know and are convinced that our good mother St. Anne helps in all needs, dangers and tribulations, for Our Lord wishes to show us that He will do also in Heaven what she asks of Him for us."

The saintly Abbot Trithemius again exhorts us: "Approach St. Anne, your amiable protectress, with full confidence. Knock at her gates with persevering prayer, because she can obtain for you the forgiveness of your sins and can open Heaven for you. She lacks nothing that can profit you ... Believe me, who has already obtained many a favor through her whom the Queen of Heaven honors as her dearest mother ... No one knows, no one believes, how many favors God confers on lovers of St. Anne!"

We are definitely in some challenging times in all of history! Do you think we need extra helps....extra graces....extra prayer and penance?? Do you get the feeling that we should all be screaming H E L P!!!!

I want to start this article with some words from the greatest enemy of the Catholic Church...The Masonic Sect (Below is taken from a Letter of Vindice to Nubius; [pen-names of 2 leaders of the Italian ‘Alta Vendita’ (A link to this document many be found on this website under Devotions/Latin Mass] dated the 9th August 1838)

“Catholicism does not fear a very sharp sword any more than
the monarchies feared it. But, these two foundations of Social
Order can collapse under corruption; let us never tire to corrupt
them. Tertullian was right in saying that from the blood of martyrs
Christians are born; let us not make martyrs; but, let us popularise
vice among the multitudes; may they breathe it through their five
senses; may they drink it and be saturated. Make vicious hearts
and there will be no more Catholics.

It is corruption on a big scale that we have undertaken…a
corruption that should one day enable us to lead the Church to its
grave. Lately, I heard one of our friends laughing philosophically at
our projects saying: ‘To destroy Catholicism, we should do away
with women’. The idea is good in a certain way, but since we
cannot get rid of women, let us corrupt them with the Church.
‘Corruptio optimi, pessima’. The best dagger to strike the Church is
corruption.” 

Wow! Do you think we have corruption? Amazing! So what do we do? Well, let us see if Our Lady predicted this to happen and see what Her solutions are. 

Our Lady of LaSalette, France (1846 - 8 years after the above letter).........

“At the end of the 19th century and for a large part of the 20th,
various heresies will flourish on this earth which will have become a
free republic. The precious light of the Faith will go out in souls
because of the almost total moral corruption: in those times there
will be great physical and moral calamities, in private and in public.
The little number of souls keeping the Faith and practicing the
virtues will undergo cruel and unspeakable suffering; through their
long drawn out martyrdom many of them will go to their death
because of the violence of their sufferings, and those will count as
martyrs who gave their lives for Church or for country. To escape
from being enslaved by these heresies will call for great strength of
will, constancy, courage and great trust in God…
“ In those days the spirit of impurity which like a deluge of filth
will flood the streets, squares and public places. The
licentiousness will be such that there will be no more virgin souls in
the world."

“The society of men is on the eve of the most terrible scourges and
of gravest events. Mankind must expect to be ruled with an iron
rod and to drink from the chalice of the wrath of God”

Quito Ecuador - Our Lady of Good Success (2nd February 1634)......

“By having gained control of all the social classes, the (Freemasonic) sects
will tend to penetrate with great skill into the hearts of families to
destroy even the children. The devil will take glory in feeding
perfidiously on the heart of children. The innocence of childhood
will almost disappear. Thus priestly vocations will be lost, it will be
a real disaster. Priests will abandon their sacred duties and will
depart from the path marked out for them by God.”

Events before Our Lady of Fatima

Pope Leo XIII, who received on the 13th October 1884, a
revelation that God had given permission to Satan to try to demolish
His Church, took this warning very seriously and composed the
Leonine Prayers to be said after each mass. He then published for
priests and faithful the famous exorcism of Saint Michael against
Satan and the rebellious Angels to protect mankind against the
plagues to come.
Later on Saint Pius X himself, did not hesitate to refer the
present calamities, the great perversity of minds and the furious
efforts “to blot out the memory and the knowledge of God,” as “the
foretaste and perhaps the beginning of these evils reserved for the
last days” (E Supremi Apostolatus, 4 October 1903).

Our Lady of Fatima and Sister Lucia

Sister Lucy,  explained to Father Agustin Fuentes, the postulator for the cause of
beatification of Francisco and Jacinta, in a conversation held on the
26th December 1957: “The Most Holy Virgin did not tell me that we
are in the last days of the world but She made me understand this
for three reasons.”

1. – THE FINAL BATTLE: “The first reason is because She
told me that the devil is in the midst of waging a decisive battle
against the Blessed Virgin. And a decisive battle is the final battle
where one side will be victorious and the other side will suffer
defeat. Hence from now on we must choose sides. Either we are
for God or we are for the devil. There is no other possibility.”

2. – THE LAST REMEDIES: “The second reason is because
She said to my cousins as well as to myself that God is giving two
last remedies to the world. These are the Holy Rosary and
Devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. These are the last
two remedies which signify there will be no others.”

3. – THE SIN AGAINST THE HOLY GHOST: “The third
reason is because in the plans of Divine Providence, before He is
about to chastise the world, God always exhausts all other remedies.
Now, when He sees that the world pays no attention whatsoever
then, as we say in our imperfect manner of speaking, He offers us
with a certain trepidation the last means of salvation, His Most Holy
Mother. It is with a certain trepidation because if you despise and
repulse this ultimate means we will not have any more forgiveness
from Heaven because we will have committed a sin which the
Gospel calls the sin against the Holy Ghost. This sin consists in
openly rejecting with full knowledge and consent, the salvation
which He offers. Let us remember that Jesus Christ is a very good
Son and that He does not permit that we offend and despise His
Most Holy Mother. We have recorded through many centuries of
Church history the obvious testimony which demonstrates, by the
terrible chastisements which have befallen those who have
attacked the honor of His Most Holy Mother, how Our Lord Jesus
Christ has always defended the honor of His Holy Mother.”

If we now consider the tragic collapse in the Catholic Church,
since the last Council, which is made obvious with the breathtaking
drop of religious practice and of vocations, with the closing and sale
of so many churches, convents, monasteries, the loss of faith and
basic moral values among the priests and the faithful, together with
the appalling vast spread of homosexuality within the seminaries
and dioceses – who cannot see the literal application of Our Lady’s
words.

When we consider what has been achieved worldwide by the
Masonic Governments to destroy the family and to turn upside down
all the moral values on which Christian civilisation was based, are
we not the appalled witnesses of a world engulfing itself in a state of
barbarism, which can end only in its own destruction? Can we fail to
see in the construction of this Masonic One World Government the
realisation of the prophecy of Our Lady warning us that: “All the civil
governments will have one and the same plan, which will be to
abolish and do away with every religious principal, to make way for
materialism, atheism, spiritualism and vice of all kinds.”

These warnings of Our Lady also make it evident to every
Catholic that the duty of keeping the Faith and preserving one’s soul
in the state of grace is much more demanding in our days than it
was in the past because of the greater power of the devils, the
unprecedented crisis of the Church and the general state of
corruption and apostasy of the world. In order to keep the true Faith
and to keep his soul pure and clean of any sin, the Christian will
have then to make special efforts in the practice of the virtues, in
regular prayer and the reception of sacraments, along with flying
from the vanities, pleasures and fashions of the world.

Sister Lucia said to Fr. Fuente......
“Father, we should not wait for an appeal to the world to come
from Rome on the part of the Holy Father, to do penance. Nor
should we wait for the call to penance to come from our bishops in
our diocese, nor from the religious congregations. No! Our Lord
has already very often used these means and the world has not
paid attention. That is why now, it is necessary for each one of
us to begin to reform himself spiritually. Each person must not
only save his own soul but also the souls that God has placed in
our path…The devil does all in his power to distract us and to take
away from us the love for prayer; we shall be saved together or we
shall be damned together.” 

I am including the below link to show what happens when a society turns away from God. This is HUGELY due to the corruption in the Catholic Church. If we were holy, the world would receive graces. If the true Mass were offered....many graces would be received. (THIS IS THE SOLE REASON FOR THE DESTRUCTION OF THE LATIN MASS - Not for its language but for its authenticity of the True Sacrifice offered to God)(Do read your Catholic history....the true Mass HAS ALWAYS BEEN ATTACKED...If Papa Bergoglio takes it away more than he already has - Justice will be seen on the earth) Also, Rome has not taken heed to the warning of Our Lady. We should be promoting Her messages of Holy Rosary, Penance and Consecration to Her Immaculate Heart through the spreading of the Brown Scapular devotion...HOW MANY GRACES WOULD WE SEE IF THIS HAPPENED! YES - The Catholic Church has a HUGE RESPONSIBILTY before God! May you and I do our part! God bless your day!

Today is the feast day of St. Elijah...a feast in the Carmelite calendar. We consider St. Elijah the Father of the Carmelite Order. He stood in the Old Testament against the false god Baal. May we seek his intercession today as we battle against Baal in our own day. Below is a link to the new video posted on The Remnant. We seem to be up against Baal even in the Catholic Church. May we seek Our Lady's help in combatting the evils within.

The Order of Carmelites has its origins on Mount Carmel, in Palestine, where, as we read in the first Book of Kings, the great prophet Elijah defended the true faith in the God of Israel, when he won the challenge against the priests of Baal. It was also on Mount Carmel that the same prophet, praying in solitude, saw the small cloud which brought life-giving rain after the long drought. From time immemorial, this mountain has been considered the lush garden of Palestine and symbol of fertility and beauty. Indeed, "Karmel" means "garden".

In the 12th century (perhaps after the third crusade, 1189-1191), some pilgrims who had come from Europe, came together near the "spring of Elijah", in one of the narrow valleys of Mount Carmel, to live out their Christianity as hermits after the example of the prophet Elijah in the very land of our Lord Jesus Christ. Then and in later times, the Carmelites did not acknowledge anyone in particular as their founder, but remained faithful followers of Elijah who was associated with Mount Carmel through biblical events and through Greek and Latin patristic tradition which saw in the prophet one of the founders of the monastic life. In the middle of the cells they built a chapel which they dedicated to Mary, Mother of Jesus, thus developing a sense of belonging to Our Lady as Patroness, and they became known by her name as "Brothers of Saint Mary of Mount Carmel". Thus Carmel is deeply associated with Elijah and Mary. From Elijah the Carmelites inherited a burning passion for the living and true God and the desire to make His Word intimately their own in order to witness to Its presence in the world; with Mary, the Mother of God, they are committed to live "in the footsteps of Jesus Christ" with the same intimate and deep feelings which were Mary's.

In order to have some juridical stability, this group of lay hermits turned to the Patriarch of Jerusalem, Albert Avogadro (1150-1214), who was then living at St John of Acre near Mount Carmel. Between 1206-1214, Albert wrote for them a formula of life. Successive approvals of this formula of life by various Popes helped the process of transforming the group into a Religious Order, a fact which took place at the time of the definitive approval of the text as a Rule by Innocent IV in 1247. Thus the Carmelite Order took its place alongside the Mendicant Orders.

However, about 1235, the Carmelites were forced to abandon their place of origin due to the incursions and persecutions of the Saracens who were reconquering the Holy Land from the crusaders. Most of them went back to their country of origin in Europe.

Soon they increased and flourished in the sciences and in holiness. Later some women  in 1452 became cloistered nuns living in their own communities near the friar monasteries.

Tomorrow is the Feast of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel. Happy Feast day! Today, I want to bring to the attention of all those who seek to live as Carmelites, that bringing the story of Carmel and its Brown Scapular to ALL Catholics is greatly needed! Do we want to show our love and thanksgiving to Our Lady? Under the patronage of St. Elijah, Our Holy Founder and St. Simon Stock, may we beg their intercession to be true disciples of Our Lady of Mt.  Carmel and share Her Brown Scapular.
 
Can we think of all that is going on today and still refuse to take the Brown Scapular message to ALL Catholics? Can we believe that the Scapular carries a Promise of salvation and yet fail to promote the Scapular Confraternity? Consider the millions of good Catholics who could enrich their lives, enhance their usefulness to God, by seeking a closer relationship with Mary through affiliating themselves with Mary’s Order; you and I must bring them the story of Carmel so that they will draw closer to Jesus…Her Son.
 
Life’s purpose is to know God, to love God and to serve God in this life in order to enjoy eternal happiness with Him in the next. If you and I become messengers of this message; we are making use of a wonderful privilege. “It is as though Mary had opened the Treasury of Heaven to her Carmelites and told us to become her agents in bringing souls to Heaven.” What a responsibility…are we up to it?
 
Mary, clothed in the habit of Carmel, appeared at Fatima in 1917, at which time she delivered a message which was to be spread throughout the world. Mary asked that men do penance and stop offending God. Keep in mind that this request was made in our day; it was made to us. To the world in which we live. What has our Catholic Church done about Mary’s message? We have gone on offending God as God has never before been offended. Never before has there been the wholesale slaughter of men, women and children as there has been in our world. Never before has there been the widespread hatred of one toward another. Never before has there been a comparable denial of the dignity of man. Never before has there existed an atmosphere so conducive to evil as that brought about by our movies, our press, our radio, our internet. Our world from 1917 to 2023 is a portrait of horrific godlessness.
Do we believe that Mary is pleased with us? What have we done about Mary’s message?  Are we living as though we believed that Our Lady appeared at Fatima with a message for the world that if heeded, would bring peace to the world?
 
The world has not yet heeded the message of Fatima. We must become Mary’s voice in the world. The message is so important that the future of our civilization, our liberties, depends upon its acceptance. When a sufficient number offer their sacrifices and fulfill our Lady’s requests, Mary has promised the dawning of a better world, an era of peace and security for mankind.

Go from parish to parish with like-minded lovers of Truth and talk to the pastors about sharing this message....at least help him to understand the enrollment of the Brown Scapular at his First Communion Sacrament...a great start that has gone by the wayside. May we pray to Our Lady to guide us and the Holy Spirit to fortify us with the necessary graces of fortitude and knowledge.
 
Offer the First Saturdays.
Offer Prayers to the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus (Reparation Prayers of Fatima)
Pray the Rosary Daily.
Enroll in the Brown Scapular (prayers below) and live in union with Jesus and Mary.
Consecrate yourselves and families to the Immaculate Heart.
Offer your daily duty and prayers.

I hope and pray that everyone is enjoying their families in the summer sun! Another year to thank God for what we have and pray that we do not lose it! Of course, our path is far from God in America and therefore we need to pray and make sacrifices to help bring people back to the reality that we NEED GOD! Who can help us more in this path back to God than Mary, Our Mother. Below is a prayer to Her.

There are so many playing God today or at least they are trying to. May we be wise to their tactics and never surrender our freedoms especially the freedom of religion. May we pray for a miracle of grace from God through the prayers and intercession of our good and holy Mother Mary......may we pray for Her to ask God to Free America from its bondage to sin and destruction.

Immaculate Mary, most Holy Mother of God and of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, we the people of the United States of America at this historic moment stand before You in a humbled condition of love, loyalty, affection, and thankfulness. To Your Immaculate Heart we recommit and dedicate ourselves throughout the entire American nation. To Your Son Jesus Christ we pledge to serve His teaching, His church, and to work for His kingdom on earth. O Mary, to You do we flee for protection.

Surround the American family with Your maternal care; enfold us in Your arms. Give to this American land, built on the blood and tears of so many faithful forebears, a peaceful and praiseworthy existence in truth, love, justice, and freedom.

O Mary, we submit to You as the Patroness of our beloved country. O Mary, Help of Christians, enfold the Holy Father and the Catholic Church within Your protective cloak; be our shield in the days ahead. Give to the Church true holiness and freedom. Obtain for our leaders holy zeal, the ability to face the truth, and the courage to correct all abuses. Stop the flood of atheism, greed, heresy, impurity, lukewarmness, materialism, and selfishness that threaten our nation. Show to those who have strayed from the Church the way to Our Lord Jesus Christ, especially those in our families.

Mother of God, accept our personal consecration to You and, through You, bind us forever to the Holy Trinity Who willed to give us You as our Mother. Gather us all into Your Immaculate Heart and unite us forever with the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. O Mary, we love You and thank You, please pray for us!
