Hello Everyone!
November 1 & 2 are soon upon us already! WOW how time just flies by! One day closer to eternity is what I say! Soon this exile will be over but until it is - we must be Church Militant - not Church Sleepy, Church Compromise or Church Tolerant! This is difficult today. I too am susceptible to feeling the blues as I see disaster all around me. I suppose this is why St. Therese of the Child Jesus loved St. Joan of Arc - she had courage! Something many of us lack today! St. Joan of Arc pray for us to remain faithful even when we see destruction and death all around us - pray that those of us who become wounded may get back on our horse as you did and fight the good fight for our King - the King of Kings - Jesus Christ! We must fight and He will give the victory! This we can be sure of! He is God ! Back to my title - Church Triumphant! Well - we can not be Church Triumphant unless we are Church Militant like the saints who have died of old. I can not emphasize enough how we need to go back and read about the lives of the saints! Those who have gone before us and have left us examples of love for God above all things that gave them the courage to endure the most horrific trials and deaths! All ye holy angels and saints - pray for us! And of course, we can not pass this great feast of All Saints without mentioning the Queen of Saints, the Queen of Martyrs! God is such an amazing God to give us this Queen and Mother. She is the model for all of us during this Passion of the Church. She endured the Passion of Jesus Christ to its fullest and now She is supplying the graces we need to endure this present suffering. I truly believe that we are witnessing the Passion of the Mystical Body of Christ and soon to enter into a Crucifixion - Bloody Martyrdom! We must now more than ever prepare ourselves for this and what better way than to be at the Foot of the Cross with Our Lady! Who stood at the foot of the Cross of Christ? Mary, His Mother, and all those in the company of Mary! That is it! The others ran in fear! That will happen to us if we do not get serious about being in the "company of Mary". Pray your Rosary daily to beg Her for these graces so desperately needed today! Church Suffering I wish to share with you excerpts taken from the "Dialogues of the Soul and Body" and "The Treatise on Purgatory" written by St. Catherine of Genoa who was born in 1447. When about 26 years old she received extraordinary revelations of which she spoke about in these two works. Here is some of it to help us get a glimpse of "whats to come" and to help give us zeal to help those who have gone before us in this coming month of November. CHAPTER II of "The Treatise on Purgatory" What is the joy of the souls in Purgatory. A comparison to show how they see God ever more and more. I believe no happiness can be found worthy to be compared with that of a soul in Purgatory except that of the saints in Paradise; and day by day this happiness grows as God flows into these souls, more and more as the hindrance to His entrance is consumed. Sin's rust is the hindrance, and the fire burns the rust away so that more and more the soul opens itself up to the divine inflowing. A thing which is covered cannot respond to the sun's rays, not because of any defect in the sun, which is shining all the time, but because the cover is an obstacle; if the cover be burnt away, this thing is open to the sun; more and more as the cover is consumed does it respond to the rays of the sun. It is in this way that rust, which is sin, covers souls, and in Purgatory is burnt away by fire; the more it is consumed, the more do the souls respond to God, the true sun. As the rust lessens and the soul is opened up to the divine ray, happiness grows; until the time be accomplished the one wanes and the other waxes. Pain, however, does not lessen but only the time for which pain is endured. As for will: never can the souls say these pains are pains, so contented are they with God's ordaining with which, in pure charity, their will is united. But, on the other hand, they endure a pain so extreme that no tongue can be found to tell it, nor could the mind understand its least pang if God by special grace did not show so much. Which least pang God of His grace showed to this Soul, but with her tongue she cannot say what it is. This sight which the Lord revealed to me has never since left my mind and I will tell what I can of it. They will understand whose mind God deigns to open. Here is an excerpt from CHAPTER XV Reproaches which the souls in Purgatory make to people in the world. And so that blessed soul, seeing the aforesaid things by the divine light, said: "I would fain send up a cry so loud that it would put fear in all men on the earth. I would say to them: 'Wretches, why do you let yourselves be thus blinded by the world, you whose need is so great and grievous, as you will know at the moment of death, and who make no provision for it whatsoever?' "You have all taken shelter beneath hope in God's mercy, which is, you say, very great, but you see not that this great goodness of God will judge you for having gone against the will of so good a Lord. His goodness should constrain you to do all His will, not give you hope in ill-doing, for His justice cannot fail but in one way or another must needs be fully satisfied.” The Prayer of St. Gertrude, below, is one of the most famous of the prayers for souls in purgatory. St. Gertrude the Great was a Benedictine nun and mystic who lived in the 13th century. According to tradition, our Lord promised her that 1000 souls would be released from purgatory each time it is said devoutly. Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the Masses said throughout the world today, for all the holy souls in purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal church, those in my own home and within my family. Amen. Many of the Fathers of the Church, such as St. Augustine and St. John Chrysostom, considered prayers for souls in purgatory to be essential. The church has endorsed the doctrine of purgatory from the Councils of Florence and Trent in the 15th and 16th centuries. The most famous scriptural reference, among others, concerning these prayers comes from the Old Testament where it is called “a holy and wholesome thought to pray for the dead, that they may be loosed from sins” (2 Macabees 12:46) May we pray with Our Lady for these poor souls in Purgatory and may we ask Her to guide us on our earthly journey toward fulfilling God's Will in our lives so that we may be eternally happy with Him in Heaven!

Hello Everyone:
I just posted the next Chapter of I Want to See God under Formation. It is about the Prayer of Recollection which is one of the beginning stages of prayer for St. Teresa to explain to us. The essence of it is the Practice of the Presence of God. I have already written on it and it can not be emphasized enough. If we were to practice the Presence of God throughout our day - we would think twice about what we say to others; what we do and how we act. It would help us to be the saints that we dream of being. Please go to the July Archives to re-read the post on Practicing the Presence of God. I will post before the Feast of All Souls an excerpt from the Dialogues on Purgatory by St. Catherine of Genoa. Please look for that before the Feast Day which is coming up quickly. Praying for the souls in Purgatory is such an advantageous thing to do for our own souls. Many worldlings know how to make the best investments in the stock market. I look at the devotion to the souls in Purgatory in the same way! We can help them and they can help us! Let us make an effort this November to intensify our prayers for those who have gone before us! Do not forget to go to the July Archives for The Practice of the Presence of God. Thank you and God bless your day through the prayers and intercession of Our Good Queen and Mother! Hello Everyone! I just answered an email to someone who is very frustrated at the amount of scandals in the Church and the amount of sexual activity among Catholic priests who are to be celibate! This indeed is a tragedy - a nightmare!
I felt it was necessary to write about the spread of errors done by Russia since the 1940's within the Church walls. Here are a couple of things to read and listen to in order to understand the BIG WHY! Before I post them for you to read, we must remember to pick up our Rosaries daily to fight Goliath with our weapons. Our Lady at Fatima told us that these errors would spread and that she could protect us with the Rosary and our personal Consecration to Her Immaculate Heart. These are our solutions along with the frequenting of the Sacraments. Please take time to view this. May Our Lady of Fatima pray for us and watch over us! Hello Everyone! - Sorry I have not written in a while - I have been busy and time flies away. I am going to direct you to the "Consecration to Jesus through Mary" blog under Formation on this website to read the article there.
I am not cutting corners but emphasizing what is important right now. We just finished the anniversary of the Miracle of the Sun for Fatima on October 13th. The article written emphasizes the hidden messages for today and that this is a public revelation and not a private one as many choose to believe that it is - thus many of us choose to leave it alone. We can not leave this message alone and it is not over! Please read the article under "Consecration to Jesus through Mary" and please consider to learn the Reparation Prayers to actively offer comfort to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary at a time when the Church and the world are in a great slumber and many souls are falling into hell as Our Lady demonstrated to the children. May God grant us the wisdom to seek Him and His Truth. Our Lady of Fatima - pray for us! How to begin! There is so much to say. I will begin with Father Nicholas Gruner. WHY? It is because he embraced, taught and lived the Fatima message only to receive the cross of persecution which usually means he was the bearer of Truth. Have you ever listened to this priest talk? When he speaks at certain times of Our Lady - he gets choked up! His love for Our Queen is so real that he gets emotional. Do you know of any priest getting choked up about Our Lady? This man, received unjust persecution and died with the wounds that will merit him Heaven! What was his crime? He loved Our Lady, the Fatima message and the Truth of that message. He wanted the Truth revealed to the world and those in authority wanted that Truth repressed. Ironically, and in a mixed up, upside-down world, he was accused of being disobedient - all the while - the authorities were disobedient to Our Lady - by not revealing the Third Secret and in not Consecrating Russia in the way that Our Lady had asked! Should Father Gruner have been silent and blindly obedient?? This is my reason for bringing him up - to ask this question and to make a good example of him (God rest his soul!).
If we are unfaithful to the known Truth - then we can come under the curse of God that, as St. Paul says, blinds us to the truth so that we can no longer distinguish truth from error. "And in all seduction of iniquity to them that perish; because they receive not the love of the truth, that they may be saved. Therefore, God shall send them the operation of error, to believe lying. That all may be judged who have not believed the truth, but have consented to iniquity." 2 Thess. 2:10-11 If we are to avoid being taken in by the growing apostasy all around us (which Our Lady of Fatima warned against) we must first recover a correct understanding of the Catholic Faith, and then cling to that known truth with all our might and at any cost! This is the trouble today - most Catholics have been denied the true teachings of the Catholic Faith and now many do not even seek it! Sister Lucia wrote to her nephew, Fr. Jose Valinho, "It is indeed sad that so many persons let themselves be dominated by the diabolical wave sweeping over the world, and that they are blinded to the point of being incapable of seeing error". How do we avoid this error? One can begin with the Rosary - Our Lady identified herself to the three Fatima children as - "Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary". One of the promises of the Rosary is to be protected from heresy! The Rosary is very powerful. Let us say it more than once in our day! We must pray - to abandon prayer is to abandon God. WHAT TO EXPECT AT THE END OF THIS 100 YEARS What is left of Fatima? Everything! The message is more needed today than ever! The Rosary, The Brown Scapular, the Consecration to the Immaculate Heart, The Reparation, The First Saturdays - All of it is needed today! Has the world complied with these requests? Not exactly. As stated above, Father Gruner is one of the few who worked tirelessly like no other priest for Fatima and he had and has shared the message of Fatima with the publication "The Fatima Crusader", but the opposition within the Church is devastating! Revelation to Sr. Lucia from Heaven in Aug. 1931, "Make it known to My ministers that given they follow the example of the King of France in delaying the execution of My command, they will likewise follow him into misfortune." Our Lord later revealed to her, " They did not want to heed My request. Like the King of France they will repent and do so, but it will be late. Russia will already have spread her errors throughout the world causing wars and persecutions of the Church. The Holy Father will have much to suffer." Could this mean that at the 100 year mark, we see misfortune? Bishop Fulton J. Sheen has been known to compare the Miracle of the Sun on October 13, 1917 to a warning of a chastisement by fire from the Heavens. Time will tell. We will watch and pray - for we do not know the hour. May we be obedient to Our Queen and Mother and live the Fatima message knowing that the Jesuits who lived the message in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan, when the atom bombs fell upon them, were spared because living the message of Fatima is more powerful than any atomic bomb. Our Lady of Fatima - pray for us! |
