Hello Everyone: Happy Feast Day of the Presentation of the Baby Jesus in the Temple, the Purification of Our Lady, Candlemas Day, Our Lady of Good Success and The Flame of Love. SO MUCH IN ONE DAY! I will here focus on the Flame of Love devotion. The feast day is appropriately Candlemas Day, February 2. When candles are blessed and distributed. This message was given to a Third Order Carmelite so this should be important to us! Her name was Elizabeth Kindleman, a lay woman, a widow and a mother in the early 1960's Hungary. It was a message approved by the local bishops. You can find different websites with this information. I have read a book published by Two Hearts Publishing in the 1990's. Since then, it seems that the websites and movements have mixed and mingled a bit of modernism in the way this message is received and practiced. I try to stick to the original book published in the 90's. For example: "mankind" for "humankind" in the prayer. There are prayer cenacles where passing of candles and hand holding is encouraged. I do not think any of that is necessary. I do believe the message makes sense and that we need "The Flame of Love" to combat the coldness that Satan is spreading EVERYWHERE! So I caution all of you to beware of the modern movements - you will recognize them if you are close to Our Lady. The prayer that I say after each decade (and not incorporated into the Hail Mary as asked) is ----- "Immaculate Heart of Mary please send forth the graces of Your Flame of Love to all of mankind!" As we know from all that the Church teaches -- This Flame of Love is Jesus Himself. Our Lady is only the vessel that contains this Love and She has from the start been the distributor of this Love to all of mankind. She is the Mediatrix of All Graces! Therefore - this is theologically sound and greatly needed today to combat the hatred and coldness that Satan and his cohorts are spreading! Another devotion mentioned in the book is to start our private prayer with 5 Signs of the Cross in reparation for the wounds of Christ. I believe that this is a beautiful devotion and better if signed with Holy Water. I believe this is an important message for today. If you happen to find on line used books by the publishing company listed - it is very good. "The Flame of Love of the Immaculate Heart of Mary" which is a spiritual diary of a Third Order Carmelite. There are messages of days of fasting, prayers to be said, prayers specifically for priests etc. Here is a prayer to St. Joseph as well. It is very powerful and beautiful to memorize. PRAYER TO SAINT JOSEPH - O God, who by your ineffable Providence has deigned to choose Saint Joseph as spouse of your Most Holy Mother, consent, we beg You, in having as our intercessor in Heaven the one we venerate as our protector on earth. Amen. Dear St. Joseph, May we live an innocent and safe life under your patronage. Our celestial patron Saint Joseph, you looked for a shelter for the Blessed Virgin in Bethlehem. Help us to look for a shelter for her Flame of Love in human hearts.

Hello, I am quite taken aback by your saying that we should not insert the prayer extension to each hail Mary. I seem to have been in error with this, please could you elaborate more about this, for example is it changed from an older form to modernism in some books? Thank you for your help and time reading this. I look forward to reading your reply God Bless till then. 👋

Hi Shane....Thank you for your inquiry...it is difficult to write and not have some misunderstanding...especially when there are different opinions floating everywhere. Since the original message by Elizabeth Kindleman on the Flame of Love...there has since been "updates" "edited" booklets which I mention that the original prayer says "mankind" and for some, this is politically incorrect so they have printed "humankind". I think we do not have to change the words that we have received from Heaven.

Thank you for this article! I just discovered this devotion, and have found it to be such a comfort (devotion to Our Lady of Good Success and Candlemas). Her messages parallel those of Fatima, and promise restoration and the Reign of Peace (Mary and the Eucharist). I wanted to read something special today to celebrate this event, and I found your article. Thank you so much!
