St Teresa of Jesus - Reformer of Carmel "Suffering, Hell, do they exist???"

Greetings in Jesus and Mary....

Today is the feast of St. Teresa of Jesus of the Order of Carmel. She is known as the great reformer which she is. At her time in history, the Carmelites were lax and not as disciplined as in previous times. Our Lord wanted her to make reforms to bring it back to prayer and austerity for His greater glory and for the salvation of souls. I am reprinting this from a previous article of mine because we need it today as well. Below, I have included a video of her account on her vision of hell. This was more of a means of motivation for her to take on all the sufferings WHICH WERE MANY in order to achieve what God had intended for her to do in order to reform the Carmelite Order and to draw souls to Him and to be able to help Him and Our Lady win many many souls through their love, prayers and sufferings.

Do we need another reform???? NOW MORE THAN EVER - not just in the way of disciplines but in the way of doctrine as well. This makes it more important and more dire than in the days of St. Teresa!!  We are denying the very principles that the Carmelite Order was built upon. Needless to say - this is the reason for this website. We are living in a time when it is difficult in the Novus Ordo Church to allow such a reform to happen - Now I can quote Pope Francis as saying...."we are going forward - we are modernizing - we are NOT going back." He has been slamming traditional Catholics as backward and many like minded men of the Church have infiltrated ALL THE ORDERS with the same message. We should be Church militant and fight for the Traditions of the Church at all corners.

I have met with resistance to this - "Going back to Tradition" in the Carmelite Order. I believe the entire Catholic Church WILL go back to Tradition in time - until then -- we have to deal with the modernists and do what we can behind closed doors. Remember St. Pius X stated that modernism is the synthesis of ALL HERESIES and therefore with these words from an incorrupt Pope, we can be sure not to follow modernism.

Oh and to answer the above question....yes Suffering and Hell are for all eternity for those who refuse God.  May we pray for many conversions and offer reparation to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary for the sins of the world with our Latin Masses and our Rosaries!

NOTE: This vision of hell is to help all of us endure all the sufferings in this life so that we can be with our Lord and our Lady in the next. May we strive to do the Will of God and nothing else as St. Teresa did. May we frequent this vision and description by her as a motivation....as it was for her.  Of course, all of our actions should be done with great love for God and not out of fear. God is Love! If we focus on His Love, we will grow in His Love. Living in this world, we need an occasional reminder that we have consequences to doing OUR OWN WILL OVER GOD'S.
